ORLANDO, Fla. (WKMG/CNN) Kaia Rolle is like most little girls.
She loves the color pink and has a cheery outlook on life.
But after what her grandmother says happened on Thursday, the bubbly 6-year-old has little room to focus on school. Meralyn Kirkland got a call from a school resource officer saying Kaia was arrested.
What do you mean she was arrested? Kirkland remembered asking the officer. He said, There was an incident and she kicked somebody and she is being charged and she is on her way.
Kirkland said her granddaughters journey to the juvenile detention center by Orlando police officers began at Lucious and Emma Dixon Elementary Charter School.
She is arrested and she has a charge, Kirkland explained. She is charged with battery.
The disorienting chaos was too much for Kirkland to process.
She has a medical condition that we are working on getting resolved. And he says, What medical condition? Kirkland said of her conversation with the officer. She has a sleep disorder, sleep apnea. And he says, Well, I have sleep apnea and I dont behave like that.
The first-grader was handcuffed and carted off where the grandmother says she was fingerprinted and even had a mug shot taken.
They told us we had to wait a few minutes because Kaia was being fingerprinted, Kirkland said. And when she said fingerprinted, it hit me like a ton of bricks. No 6-year-old child should be able to tell somebody that they had handcuffs on them and they were riding in the back of a police car and taken to a juvenile center to be fingerprinted, mug shot
Kaia was still equally as upset, but happy to be home.
I felt sad that my grandma was sad, and I really missed her, Kaia said.

Even if there’s more to the story (did she make her hand into a gun?), this is ridiculous! She should have been removed from the area, (go stand in the corner, maybe?) or sent to the principal’s office. Now the school and the police, have set themselves up for a lawsuit.
Yep.... you can watch videos every day of 11 and 12 years old assaulting other young people and even little kids. It just is what it is.
I hope so too. But I wont bet on it.
She’s a poster child for useful idiots, so...

6-year-old arrested, has mug shot taken following school tantrum
= = =
So. . .
All the 2nd grade teachers have her picture posted on their desk, as a . . . look out for . . .
Like in the quickie marts (look out for bad check casher) with their ‘alert’ photos.
And add in some ‘age enhancement’ because this little 6-year old sure looks like a future gang member.
Actually not.
This little girl looks really scared, and wants some love.
If there were any possibility of any sort at all that the judge has common sense...then it would have been ruled long before that the school has the right to maintain discipline and this kid would have been paddled or suspended.
No, the judge does not have common sense, and that is how we got to this point in the first place.
Are there discipline problems beyond the ability of the principal and parents to handle,? Even so, at such young ages do we really need the police?
= = =
Well, in the olden days (my growing-up era), the Principal or my parents would have handled and solved things.
But today, parents are abusers, and the principal is dictated by the state-level ‘education code rules’.
Yeah, parenting.
Are there discipline problems beyond the ability of the principal and parents to handle,? Even so, at such young ages do we really need the police?
___________
no one is permitted to touch children, so the only people who can touch an out of control child are the people who are legally permitted to, trained workers and police.
Is this just a kick, or is this a mentally ill and or behaviaorlly dysregulated child who was out of control, weighed more than her peers and stomped them.
I betcha she isn’t either. I’m guessing this incident was the last straw in a long list of misbehaviors.
*************************************************
BINGO. I would be very surprised if the teachers and school administrators hadnt reached the point of desperation.
I wonder what he means by I dont act that way.
One little kick
Or a kick down?
When mentally ill, mentally handicapped, and behaviorally dysregulated children are mainstreamed into classrooms, this is what happens. There is a reason that our forefathers had separate schools for them. They disrupt and are at times dangerous, and at other times, are abused.
They need protection and management.
####ing ######ers.
And that ####### dancing in front of the white girl.
I can proudly say i’ve NEVER backed down to these clown monkeys even when 8 surrounded me at the staten island ferry.
But then Italians are the only ones they have to fear out here...and even then just on staten island and some parts of brookly and queens.
These POS
It scares me being 51 and knowing i will soon have to walk away from these animals if confronted.
Just on the fast track to become a juvenile delinquent and later a full fledged criminal all aided by an enabling parent.
Yup. Teachers and parents arent aloud to mete out any discipline, lest they run afoul of THE LAW. Not kidding.
If the child is too unruly the only way to stop the behavior might be to use physical restraint. Then the lawsuits begin. Since grandma is quoted in this story, I wonder if the kid has much interaction with her parents.
Scoldilocks!
Can we arrest the one in GA who claimed a man put a gun to her face on her school playground? It’s all over the news that her claim was “unfounded” after video review and witnesses were interviewed.
she is just a little Trayvon in training.
Sad, sad, sad. And she is a total disgrace to the human race.
