I’ve never before heard notices about record amounts during previews. That makes me think that this is just hype. Do not be fooled!
If the reviews are close to accurate, it’s a blockbuster masterpiece.
Depressing what depraved “icons” our godless society worships at the box office. Tragic.
The Joker hysteria is bizarre. It’s a movie that I will enjoy but the left is pure insane over this.
This is very strange superhero movie in that the superhero isn’t due to show up for about two drcades. This is more likely the first supervillain movie.
Saw it last night. Its not for everyone. Its downright disturbing in parts. Otherwise a very, very good movie. Joaquin has Best Actor in the bag.
After the warning to some Army base, IIRC (Fort Sill?), the media has been trying to get someone to shoot up a theater. I have no doubt. Have seen multiple TV news accounts of warnings. They want more shootings.
Saw it Thursday night. It was a slow, tense train ride into mental illness and madness. Like Falling Down (93) meets Taxi Driver meets V for Vendetta. Its a weird movie. Theres no protagonist. The music and the dark visuals push you down and stress you out and in a odd way you almost get a little relief when he finally snaps in the last few scenes because you can finally and oddly relax. Phoenix will win an Oscar for this. Might even get a nod for best picture. Interested to hear others thoughts and not the pearl clutching never going to see it crowd.
I really have no interest in seeing this. Given the reviews I have read this is no comic book movie but one that is beyond disturbing.
I didn’t much care for Heath Ledger’s Joker either, again very disturbing.
Frankly I liked Jack Nicholson’s performance much better as I think think it was more inline with the Comic Books and fun to watch.
