He’s doing the investors in scooter companies a favor.
On average a scooter costs about $750 and they get about $75 in revenue before they break down.
What a joke of a business model.

I was thinking Kramer or George Costanza as the culprit.

Kids dont need electric scooters.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
These aren’t for kids. They are commuting rentals for all ages just left wherever the last user chooses. (meaning your home or business if that is what is convenient for the last user).

Yeah, that's the deal.
Blame the scooters and not the guy who cut the brakes lines.
Blame the guns and not the shooter.
Where have we heard that rationale before?

Sounds like he’d had enough of the scooters laying around everywhere and people zipping around on them.

These electric scooters aren't for kids. They're mainly used to get around urban areas. I've seen a few gas powered scooters, but the electric ones seem to have taken over.
When I was a kid, kick-scooters were not popular at all. Only dorks rode them, real kids rode bikes. Now, every residential neighbourhood in the area is filled with kids on scooters.

I thought you said use your damn foot and kick the scooter who drives padt you so fast, like buzzing past you on the sidewalk. That works.

Since this IS ‘Florida Man’ I’m surprised that he wasn’t run over and killed by one of the run-away scooters he sabotaged!
Florida Man? You’ve REALLY let us down, today! ;)

What a joke of a business model.
If you factor in the .gov subsidies and save-the-planet credits, they still come out ahead.
The joke is on the tax payers.

I wonder if a degausser would do any good in disabling these things (if pointed at the pertinent part).

How about motorized beanies with a chin strap?

How about being ticked off that essentially people are being allowed to leave their junk anywhere they want, property value and neighborhood aesthetics be damned.
And now you know why HOA's exist.
