I agree with him. A lot of people who were Trump skeptical have become strong Trump supporters. Maybe not on every single issue, but firm supporters.
It was clear to the left that Richard Nixon’s victory in 1972 could have realigned American politics. Many blue collar unions supported him and helped him carry New York.
He had to be stopped by any means necessary.
The only way the Rat wins is through massive voter fraud.
By the time Trump announced in 2015 I was already a strong supporter of him. My support for him has only grown since then. And I add my immense gratitude for all he has done for us. I wish he would have run in 1996. (If you watch an interview with him at the Republican convention in 1988 you see why I mention 1996.)
Mueller ended up indicting some pimple-faced Russians. They got nuthin'.
PING. Conrad Black is back with an interesting historical look at America — from a Canuck’s perspective.
No more supporting of National Review please, Mr. Black.
Always enjoy reading ol’ Conrad. Thanks for posting.
Much as I appreciate the sentiment, Conrad is being too clever by half. In the best case scenario I cannot see the President adding more than 1 or 2 states to his 2016 haul.
Which will hardly approach the scale of the past described landslides.
Demographically such landslides are no longer possible because the legions of the takers, amply padded by the legions of the brainwashed products of our universities, now make up at least 50% (if not more) of the electorate.
Thankfully they are too heavily concentrated on the coasts at the moment, so POTUS has a path to reelection that closely mirrors the one from 2016.
Regardless, those of you under the age of 30 (40?) can expect to live long enough to enjoy the dubious fruits of an Orwellian “Socialist paradise”.
As an immigrant from one of the former such ‘paradises’ I do not envy you...
All of the democrat congresscritters and Presidential candidates are pandering to the far left-wing of the democrat base. I suspect that many of them know, but will never admit, that they are going to lose BIGLY in the 2020 elections.
What most of the far left-wing democrats cannot seem to grasp is that the 2020 election will not be won or lost by firing up the far left base. The election will be decided by all of those middle class and blue collar voters in flyover country who now have jobs and can feed their families without food stamps for the first time in years. This includes a lot of black and hispanic voters who have never voted for anyone but democrats before but now see unemployment among blacks and hispanics at the lowest levels in at least 50 years.
Just like in 2016 but magnified by 10, they will never see the tidal wave coming until it crashes over them.
Trump seized control of the Republican party? Since when? Those RINO eunuchs still don't support him.
Furthermore, in what way did Trump game the electoral system to win the White House?
Bullshit writing.
