A group of 500 scientists and other experts have penned a letter to the UN declaring that there is no climate crisis and that there needs to be an open discussion on the issue of climate change. We urge you to follow a climate policy based on sound science, realistic economics and genuine concern for those harmed by costly but unnecessary attempts at mitigation, they write.
Those who contributed to the letter and research were led by CLINTEL (The Climate Intelligence Foundation) co-founder Guus Berkhout. Most of those who signed the letter are scientists, professors, former directors of environmentalist groups, economists, etc.
The letter reads [in part]:
A global network of 500 scientists and professionals has prepared this urgent message. Climate science should be less political, while climate policies should be more scientific. Scientists should openly address the uncertainties and exaggerations in their predictions of global warming, while politicians should dispassionately count the real benefits as well as the imagined costs of adaptation to global warming, and the real costs as well as the imagined benefits of mitigation.
The letter was sent on September 23 to address the growing alarmist stance on environmental issues, specifically that which is espoused by Greta Thunberg.
There are six main points of their letter: Natural as well as anthropogenic factors cause warming; warming is far slower than predicted; climate policy relies on inadequate models; CO2 is plant food, the basis of all life on Earth; global warming has not increased natural disasters; and climate policy must respect scientific and economic realities.

At a press briefing, scientists said that the UNs Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) global warming projections predicted temperature increases 4 times higher than what was actually observed, and, thus, such models should in no way be used as a foundation for policy changes.
Furthermore, the IPCC had conceded this point in 2018, saying that climate change models are incapable of perfectly predicting long-term climate change and should not be used as a definitive basis for estimating long-term temperature changes.
In sum, a strategy must recognize what is possible. In climate research and modeling, we should recognize that we are dealing with a coupled non-linear chaotic system, and therefore that the long-term prediction of future climate states is not possible, the IPCCs 2018 report states.
These experts warn the UN that [c]urrent climate policies pointlessly and grievously undermine the economic system, putting lives at risk in countries denied access to affordable, reliable electrical energy.
They hope that their letter will reopen the debate before climate alarmism seriously harms people across the world.
But... I thought there was a consensus.
I would like to see her hands. FAE/FAS children sometimes have larger hands.
They should go find a 16 year-old-girl on the autism spectrum to come in and scowl at everybody while explaining their position.
That’s how you effectively communicate about climate science issues!
I’m pretty sure that 500 is a few more than the 76 out of 78 “scientists” who make up that “97% of all scientists...” claim.
Too late.
The science is “settled” and we only have 11.37 years to live.

What is known about Greta’s parents?
A week ago 500 scientists send a letter to the UN saying there is no crises. It should be good news..right? Funny, not once did it even rate 10 seconds on any major news outlet.
The only thing I remember reading is that BOTH are actors...In fact, Greta supposedly has already acted in some show...
***and we only have 11.37 years to live.***
I’ve always said with other End of the World scenarios in the past,
“Why are they still sending their kids to school if there will be no future past such and such a date?”
PARTY ON DUDE!
Large space between eyes.
The reason that efforts like this go nowhere is because the goal is not about climate or climate facts.
The goal is about globalism, control, elites, population control, and wealth-stripping, and the “climate” was just a means to those ends.
Eurochan is anonymous. Is there any factual basis for that picture?
These climate change alarmists are literally out of their minds.
Yes, climate will change. Over thousands of years. Just like it always has. Just 12,000 years ago most of what we know today of North America was still covered under glaciers from the last ice age. We are STILL coming out of that ice age and therefore temps will slowly warm over the next few thousand years - until the next ice age begins to s-l-o-w-l-y assert itself. By then, the human race will either be extinct or will have populated other planets.
The lunatics are running the asylum!
“The science is settled and we only have 11.37 years to live”
I have my doubts that I will reach 11.37 years oh, and I’m not looking at that with Doom and Gloom or pessimism. I know my health and I know my genetics and 76 years old is very rare in my genetic heritage.
