If the intelligence community has been pursuing a goal of vacating the result of the 2016 election with single-minded zeal, if we are a house divided thanks to identity politics and gobs of free-floating hate, doesn't all of that put our national house in disorder that can be exploited by a foe?
Are we within spitting distance of another terrorist attack on the magnitude of a 9/11 thanks to our intelligence community devoting too many resources to trying to overthrow Trump?
Saddam Hussien got busted for ordering crop dusters back in the mid 90's from a company in Hurst (Texas y'all) close to Bell plants 8 & 1.
Why? Well, within weeks we had the NSA unleashed and focused inward as a domestic spy agency. In 6 weeks we had the DHS with it’s creepy nazi name and twice the budget of the USMC. We had the Patriot act with the FBI had sudden power to secretly search with “national security letters” instead of warrants. They could swear people to silence about contact with them. We had TSA, and we imported 2 million new moslems in the Bush and Obama years in about equal numbers. And we have spent something like 6 or 8 trillion dollars on the post 9/11 wars. That’s a lotta money.
So I would say the “why” is to allow Fedzilla to massively increase it’s domestic power and become the authoritarian government it always wanted to be. Most of this stuff was waiting and ready to vote on when 9/11 hit.
Money and power. Simple as that. That’s the why.

I don’t discount something similar. By now, because of Obama’s failed immigration policies and lax border security, there must be plenty of sleeper cells to pull off a crippling nationwide attack.

I thought there was going to be many more smaller attacks after 9/11 from sleeper cells. Like 30+ people shooting up cities in coordinated attacks to split the response or something. It never happened, thank God.

Read “Dies Irae”. A very workable scenario. 30 members divided into 6 5 man teams spread across the country concentrating on smaller population centers as they won’t have the developed capabilities of large cities.

Maybe it isn’t that bad if the sleeper cells don’t strike. Still we must be vigilant as in vigilanteism.
I think it would have done, without a lot of good people on the job keeping us all safe. I do worry though since it seems as though our country has been overrun with a ton of anti-American propaganda and since we have the effing Democrats insisting that we live in a post-border world.
I think maybe they get a taste of western opulence, maybe start raising kids and abandon all plans to shoot up the shopping plaza. Maybe we McDonald’s them out of violence or something.

I doubt it. 9/11 was almost the perfect terrorist attack as far as optics go. It could have been a movie. Sure they could probably kill more people with fentanyl poisoning but it wouldn’t have near the same effect.
I think so. Liberal hiring policies have put Muslims instead of patriotic Americans in all kinds of jobs. I hate to ask about Canada, some places not all that far from my scenario, plane-wise.

I believe the World Trade Center attacks were supposed to be revenge for stationing troops in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War and after.
