Googles announcement that it has achieved quantum supremacy with a 53-qubit quantum computer greases the skids for all cryptocurrency and military secrets protected by cryptography to be breakable in a stunning new development that will change the world.
The Big Tech corporations new quantum processor took a mere 200 seconds to complete a computing task that would normally require 10,000 years on a supercomputer.
The 53-qubit quantum computer can break any 53-bit cryptography in seconds, meaning Bitcoins 256-bit encryption is vulnerable once Google scales its quantum computing to 256 qubits, something their own scientists say will be possible by 2022.
Modern military cryptography will also eventually be rendered obsolete given that the number of qubits in Googles quantum computers will double at least every year, according to the report, growing at double exponential rate, which is even faster than Moores Law.
At this rate, Google will be able to break all military encryption by 2024, a frightening prospect given the companys close ties to China.
The prospects of Google controlling such vast supercomputer power when it applies to the field of surveillance is also chilling.
Google will rapidly come to dominate the world, controlling most of the money, all speech, all politics, most science and technology, most of the news media and all public officials, writes Mike Adams.
Google will become the dominant controlling authoritarian force on planet Earth, and all humans will be subservient to its demands. Democracy, truth and freedom will be annihilated.
Read Adams full article for a comprehensive breakdown of what this means for the future a beast system controlled by Google that makes Skynet look amateur in comparison, controls all secrets, communications and financial transactions.
Google has come a long way from dont be evil to establishing a monopoly over technology that will

This is Globalists wishful thinking....
I do not believe Google for one second. They may have achieved some milestone, but I highly doubt they can do what they claim.
Precisely break out the hip boots.

Oh, my. I better book passage on one of those Moon flights then.
Back nearly 15 years ago, it was commonly discussed in Silicon Valley that unless you used RSA 4k long keys at least, your encryption was vulnerable to NSA hacking.
Right now, the best we have which is easy to use and mostly secure is Protonmail as the keys are not stored on their servers and use RSA private-private keys.
Also the servers are located outside of the USA and so can’t be searched by NSA or USA Gov.
WhatsApp is NOT secure nor is Google email or Yahoo mail.
My son, who is in the business, said there are things already developed to counteract this. He wasn’t surprised when I told him about this article.
This is disinformation.
Quantum computing CAN wipe out banking security but not blockchain cyber currency. Blockchain security is not based on computing as much as it is a chain of verifications
Decentralized blockchain scares the centralized banks as it should. It is an existential threat to their centralized model.
I have followed centralized banking and blockchain for a long time and in that time I have observed persons associated with large banks take actions to stop blockchain developments and advances. When one gets into the weeds it becomes obvious why banks are so scared, they are at risk of being cut out as middlemen in all electonic transactions.

All power comes through the barrel of a gun.
The Google engineers and facilities are in clusters.
The author does not understand what power is.
Power is the Second Amendment to the US Constitution, and the 300+ million private firearms it enabled.
A couple of questions for the Freeper Crypto Whiz Kids:
1. When doing a dycrypt how do you test for success?
2. Why cant these powerful quantum systems be defeated by putting a finite limit on the number of breakin attempts. That could be a very large number and still be safe.
It seems to me that the super-super-computers have to work off line to avoid this easy fix. How is that possible? Or is it?

Same thing was said about the Knights Templar in the very early 1300s, and we know how that worked out. Just saying.
500+ million. 300 million is about 20 years of record gun sales out of date. Which, of course, makes your point even more valid. See post 10.
The Key to Rebecca comes to mind.
Just like IBM.
Nuclear weapons. Theres power for ya
Google needs to be broken up
As I understand it only certain crypto algorithms are susceptible to quantum computing breaks.
Google would gladly use that power in the service of a leftist regime.
It would use it to destroy Trump.
I’m not exactly a “Crypto Whiz Kid” but I’ll give it a go.
Current crypto systems are based on functions that can be computed quickly in one direction, but are hard (meaning not computationally practical) to compute in the other direction. The threat here is that quantum computing would be able to do the reverse computation quickly.
So, checking for success is not necessary and counting breakin attempts would not help. Just calculate the key and use it.

+++++
Thanks for your input. What to say makes sense. If that is the way they now do it they are vulnerable.
But why use a system like that once its broken? Just use very long encryption passwords and limit the number of tests for success. Old fashioned, probably cumbersome but I dont think a quantum computer breaks it.
They would be able to unlock one bitcoin transaction at a time.
I think they may focus on other things.
