"That is not true. A child born to parents that are naturalized citizens is a natural born citizen. A child of citizens whether those citizens were citizens at birth or citizens through naturalization is natural born."

The citizenship status of parents only matters if the child is born outside the country. A child born in the US is a natural born citizen, barring very limited exceptions, like diplomats and invading armies.

"Ted Cruz was born in Canada and his birth was not even registered in the USA until he was a teenager. He is not eligible without any question."

Regardless of his place of birth, citizenship passed to him through his parents. He was a citizen at birth, a natural born citizen. Paperwork after the fact simply recognizes that. He is eligible without question.

"One is only naturally a citizen when they cannot be anything else."

No, that is not what it means. That's the made up birther definition.

"Anyone born with more than one nationality is not naturally a citizen."

As I said, that is just false. But I'll note that in birther world, they would allow other country's citizenship laws determine who is eligible for our office.

If you can make up your own definition then that is true. Obviously it is not true.

How can a person who ignores the Constitution when it is in their interest be a great Constitutionalist? What has Ted done that convinces you that he is a great constitutionalist and an originalist other than his saying he is?

I dont think he is ignoring the constitution, I think you are reading more into it than it there.

This is a fundamental disagreement and is not worth further discussion.

By ignoring the parts he (and you) don’t like?

Did your mother's father have hair?

My father and his brother both had male pattern baldness. I once met a first cousin of my father's who had the same maternal grandfather (his mother and my father's mother were sisters) and his hair pattern was exactly like my father's. But another first cousin of my father's who had a different maternal grandfather had a full head of hair.

So I think there is something to it--but there could be multiple genes involved so it may not always play out as simply as that.

Cruz’s Senate seat will be up in 2024. If he does decide to run for President again in 2024, he’ll probably be eliminated soon enough that he would still be able to run for re-election to the Senate.
