Apple has finally revealed the newest designs in its iPhone lineup.
The firm unveiled the iPhone 11 at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino on Tuesday, showing off a handset with a 6.1-inch display that will come in six colors: purple, white, yellow, green, black, and Product Red.
Apple also showed off its new premium model, the iPhone 11 Pro, which will come with either a 5.8-inch or 6.5-inch display.
The stainless steel device boasts three cameras and will be available in four colors, including the new Midnight Green, all with a matte textured finish.

WRONG.
I love how whenever these types of articles are posted here a majority of the comments are from luddites who feel the need to virtue-signal about how they still use smoke signals and soup cans to communicate and look down on those of us who embrace technology that makes our lives more efficient and productive.
What’s the matter? Couldn’t afford the Targa? Hahaha. Totally kidding. 911’s are incredible vehicles. Congrats.
It isnt on the Samsung site. . . It might be elsewhere. Apple sells the iPhone at 0% interest for 24 months.
Verizon.
Porsche owners are the smartest, most sophisticated people on earth. If you don’t believe that, just ask them. As such, they will never own anything but an iPhone.
Porsche knows their clientele.
Apple does not manage any Chinese communist company. Apple is just ONE of over 600 Consumer Electronic firms that contract with FoxConn, which is a Taiwanese (FREE CHINA) company owned and operated by HonHai Technology Group, whose CEO is Terry Gou. FoxConn has manufacturing and assembly plants all around the world, including in China, Vietnam, Taiwan, India, Brazil, Mexico, Ireland, and Texas and Wisconsin USA, Apple owns no interest in HonHai or FoxConn.
Apples contract with FoxConn specifies that workers on Apples assembly line must be paid better and have better working conditions than workers on other assembly lines. Apple has its own employees on each site where Apple products are assembled to assure those contract conditions are being met.
A further fact is that Chinese workers voluntarily queue up by the thousands for any job openings on Apple assembly lines at FoxConn because of the better pay and better working conditions. That is not a sign of working conditions where workers are routinely abused. The claims of massive worker abuse is propaganda spouted by Apples competition who, in fact, use the same company to assemble their products and do NOT require better pay and conditions in their contracts. Im talking about Samsung and Google here.
Among the top 72 CE companies (US CE companies listed in bold) that contract with FoxConn/HonHai are :
I assure you that Apple would not be managing all those companies and all those employees for their competitors.
You are an intellectual moron, at best, and should be ashamed to call yourself a freeper with your dishonesty that is typically broadcast on CNN.
The intellectual moron here is the one who starts throwing ad hominem attacks when his facts are not, in fact, truthful. That definition better meets you, newfreep, not roadcat, not that I would ever attach that appellation to you.
Forced into an iPhone because of pairing with new hearing aids.
Its ok. Just wish I could edit content in Apple news screen as it is all liberal BS.
So I need a new iPhone. I want the camera of the Pro. Wondering how much space I need on it.
Yeah, some of that is giving me pause...
It’s a car I wanted since I first saw a picture of one in one of dad’s Playboy mags back in the day. Bucket list time, iPhone or no. It may be a brief romance, as these days I find myself built more for comfort than speed.
Sword, Do you know how long the iPhone 6 will be supported? I went ahead and got a new battery for mine about a year ago, and the thing is still chugging right along. About the only thing that will get me to finally start looking at another phone is when this one will finally stop getting OS updates.
One of the things I really like about Apple products is that they continue to get regular updates for so long. I know folks with some really cool Androids, but they just do not seem to be supported for very long as far as OS updates are concerned.
Zeugma, Apple normally supports iOS devices with iOS updates for five years after introduction. Unfortunately, your iPhone 6 was released on September 9, 2014 so your five years were up on Monday. I am pretty certain it will not be supported for the iOS 13 update when it is released next week. The reason is not due to Apple locking it out, but rather the older hardware will be incapable of taking the update due to lack of hardware functions the new iOS requires.
Yup, I just searched the answer and this is what I found for you:
But, there's bad news for those who are still on older versions of the iPhone. The iOS 13 system is leaving out certain iPhone models, meaning the iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus won't be supported. In fact, the oldest devices that will support the new operating system are the iPhone SE, 6S, and 6S Plus. If you've got one of these, you're in the clear for the iOS 13 update. If you're sporting an iPhone 6, you'll want to take note of the unfortunate fact that your device won't be able to use the new operating system.
If you're still using your iPhone 6, rest assured that your device will still work, but you won't be able to get the new overhaul that Apple is releasing. If you've got no problem with that, then keep rockin' that iPhone 6 in style. Elite Style
I got a Motorola (Moto G6) on HSN for $129. It came with a year of connectivity (Tracfone) and 1500 minutes / 1500 texts, which for me is plenty for the year. It only comes with 2 GB data, but I have wifi at home and at work and I’m pretty good about limiting my data usage. I might spend $10 two or three times a year for more data, so that’s $160 for the year for the phone plus service.
I was wondering that myself. I have an iPhone X 256GB with the battery starting to get old that I am going to trade in. . . My usage of the memory is not that great. I figure I will get the same size. I store most of my pictures on iCloud to share with my other Apple devices and I dont use any music. YMMV. However, the screen display size on the iPhone 11 Pro Max is much higher density than the iPhone X, so that may make a difference. Buying on time makes only a $6 difference per month in price over 24 months through Apple. Not a big deal.
Twenty years ago I ran a Mac Users group now I am just another aged Mac user that is resistant to change.
Lol. Yea 20 years ago - you were definitely on the forefront! But, you still probably know more about them than your average user - such as me if I ever got one.
I wish I could afford a Mac. Maybe one day.
I like two brands for the build quality and reliability ...... Motorola and Apple.
Both have served me very well over the years. My work phone is a iPhone X thats about 2 years old that is modified with a Quad Simore system.
So far its a perfect solution for my needs.
On 4G and Verizon says that it should continue into the forseeable future.
5G is not progress unless you consider supporting chinese business progress.
Its main purpose is to expand Google’s reach into fringe areas.
My 5S is still able to be updated, however, it has trouble at times switching between functions. We all slow down with age, n’est-ce pas?
Love having a computer in the palm of the end, but really tempted to return to a flip phone.
Hey, Sword, how are things up North with you? I’m still happy with ‘17 Macbook and old mini#2. Probably very foolish to surf the internet using the mini ipad stuck on 9.3.5! Wish it would break or something, but it won’t!
