FULL TITLE: Christine Ford May Face Investigation After Lawyer Admits Abortion Prompted False Attacks on Brett Kavanaugh
GOP Sen. Thom Tillis said a new investigation into Dr. Christine Blasey Fords allegations of sexual misconduct against Justice Brett Kavanaugh may be appropriate in light of a new book suggesting she had political motives.
The North Carolina Republican, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, told Fox News that new video of Fords lawyer connecting her allegations with the broader fight over abortion rundermines Fords credibility and could necessitate the Justice Departments intervention.
This does seem to undermine what we all believed was a legitimate traumatic experience in her life, Tillis said. Well just let the process play out. But clearly, a misrepresentation before a Senate committee is a very serious offense. Hopefully, we can get past that.
We have to always make sure that when people come and give sworn testimony before any congressional committee that its truthful and accurate, Tillis added. Any time that you see something like this, its probably worth looking into.
Speaking at the University of Baltimore in April, Ford lawyer Debra Katz said questions as to Kavanaughs legitimacy will linger far into the future. Diminishing Kavanaughs reputation is part of what motivated Ford to come forward, Katz said. News of her remarks first appeared in the new book Search and Destroy: Inside the Campaign Against Brett Kavanaugh by the National Law Journals Ryan Lovelace.
He will always have an asterisk next to his name, Katz said of Kavanaugh. When he takes a scalpel to Roe v. Wade, we will know who he is, we know his character, and we know what motivates him. And that is important, it is important that we know, and that is part of what motivated Christine.
Katz also panned the misogynist Republican who confirmed Kavanaugh to the high court.
A dispute from Louisiana relating to state regulations on abortion providers is currently pending before the Supreme Court.
It should, but won’t. If she lied before a congressional committee, she should get a stiff sentence — but who believes a democrat will be subject to the same laws as everyone else?
What, do you mean that the whole Kavanaugh/Ford thing was a complete fraud and fabrication? Shocked, I tell you I am shocked!
Her and Comey are in so much trouble.
LOCK HER UP!
PARTY ON, CBF!
Bearing false witness. No biggie, right?
Katz didn’t say that Ford came forward with false testimony. She just stated that Ford wanted to make sure the Kavanaugh would be a “marked” person in case there were Roe vs Wade rulings.
None of us believe Ford, but Katz wasn’t conceding that Ford made things up. Katz was just speaking to Ford’s motives for coming forward.
It saddens me to read Tillis saying they all thought she had a legitimate traumatic experience. What rock did they grow up under? She was a preposterous liar.
You are correct.
The lawyer needs to be disbarred and behind bars with her accomplice. Of course, they also need to REPENT!
She is 3d generation CIA and funneled numerous college students to the CIA and everyone of her recommendations if now working should be re-vetted
You read that woman like a stop sign.
Ridiculous for these goofy Republicans to throw her a made-for-TV life line which in itself is just as big a gasser as the those lies she composed against Justice Kavanaugh.
Tillis is out of line and peddling sheer fiction. He backs it up with nothing. RINO? I guess!
But women always tell the truth. Especially the 52 year old ones that sound like innocent school girls, and can’t remember a single witness to even claim the event they describe even existed.
I only disagree with you saying she was a preposterous liar. She was a rehearsed and purposeful liar.
This does seem to undermine what we all believed was a legitimate traumatic experience in her life, Tillis said.

I’m an uneducated white deplorable. I saw right through it from the first second.
For one thing, someone needs to record Professor Ford speaking naturally, as opposed to the scared little girl presentation to the committee. But most of all, the Senate should hold hearings on the very notion of accepting testimony to a recovered memory. Such memories are real in the sense that the patient who recovers such during analysis cannot tell them from past reality.
And this makes such person a very convincing witness. OTOH, the process of recovering a memory under analysis is one which - if attempted in a courtroom - would have defense counsel rightly screaming bloody murder. It would stand revealed as a process of leading the witness in its very most extreme form. It is brainwashing in which the patient is a willing, nay eager, participant - but all the worse brainwashing for that.
But the process is not done transparently in a courtroom but in private - and legally screened by HIPPA law - in the analysts office. Recovered memory is a fraud. It is memory, all right - synthetic memory, probative of nothing.
Ill hold my breath...
She belongs in prison. Nothing less than that will discourage others from following her lead.
