Marriage isn’t as popular as it once was. In fact, the marriage rate in the U.S. is the lowest it’s been in at least 150 years, reports PBS.
A new study, published in the Journal of Marriage and Family, may have one explanation as to why: There aren’t enough “economically-attractive” men — ones with a good income and a stable job — for single women to marry.
In the study, researchers examined couples in heterosexual marriages from 2008 to 2012 and 2013 to 2017, compiling character profiles (education and income levels) of the husbands. When they analyzed the pool of available men for these economically-attractive traits that demographically-similar single women might look for, there was a shortage of potential matches.
The researchers hypothesized that potential husbands for the single women had an average income nearly 60 percent higher than the actual pool of available men. They were also 30 percent more likely to be employed and 19 percent more likely to have a college degree compared to current bachelors.

The plantation of marriage as you call it is the bedrock of Western civilization.
You said you are 33. Have fun in your older years being single and no one to do anything with.
Men die sooner whether they are married or not. Does anybody know why? Is anybody doing anything about it? Does anybody care at all? And what would the conversation be like if the numbers were reversed?
As for the single married lifespan thing, that is true for guys who came of age in the pre-feminist era. We have yet to see if this holds for guys who came of age after. I think it might not.

We will have to agree to disagree. There are some winsome gals out there for sure, there always have been and there always will. But as a whole I do not think they are better looking today.

“Incel”
The incels are tragic young men who have been misled by the popular media to believe that they are expected and entitled to be having sex all the time. When it doesn’t happen the way they expect it to, they develop a neurosis which make it difficult to them to form relationships. As we have seen, sometimes it ends very, very badly. These are guys who should be getting psychological help, but instead they are being demonized.
On the other hand, MGTOW are guys who have decided that the cost of marriage is not worth the benefits. They can “get” girls, they just don’t want to be part of a legal entanglement that can end so badly. They are tired of women who prattle on about being equals, but expect the guy to pay for everything. MGTOW is a threat because it represents money that would otherwise be diverted to women and child support. It is, in effect, one step down from going full Galt on the world.
It’s really not good at all and does a ton of damage, which has been masked with asset bubbles. But the ability to play the bubble game is a lot more limited than it used to be given that they still ain’t fully unwound the last one.
Sure you can claim based on surface indicators that it’s a great policy, but anyone who looks under the covers is going to see totally different mechanics at play.

I think you missed my point - what advantage do thin eyebrows provide biologically? What advantage does a dress provide biologically? What advantage does make up provide biologically?

Men that choose to leave the plantation are ridiculed, and sometimes shunned by their friends/family. They’re also mercilessly attacked by beta boys that insist they “man-up.”
Why deal with that?

And I could cite two examples that could prove the exact opposite. Loneliness can be a problem for some people,for others being alone is pure heaven.
