People with tattoos make reckless decisions and are more impulsive than those who are not inked...
The Daily Mail ^ | September 3, 2019 | JOE PINKSTONE

People who proudly don body ink and have visible tattoos are more likely to act on impulse and make actions in haste, according to a new study. It also discovered that, as a result of these poorly thought through snap decisions, they are likely to not consider the full scope of their actions. The study was conducted by economists and was done on more than 1,000 people...Tattoos have their origins in the ne'er-do-wells of society, with the authors noting body art 'largely reserved for criminals, sailors and circus freaks'.

They’re also creepy.

A phrase you'll never hear me say: "That's a nice looking tattoo."

Blanket condemnation of those wearing ink just makes you sound like sanctimonious prigs.

Using terms like "wearing ink" make you sound like a wannabe hipster badass.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

It used to be you got a tattoo to stand out.
Now you get one to fit in.

Yep, it’s become a sign of conformity, like long hair was in the late ‘60 through the ‘70s.

I saw a middle age woman the other day with a full upper arm tat of a Care Bear riding a Unicorn.

What does that even mean?

My very handsome nephew came home from Winter semester college last year with a full sleeve. No previous tat’s.

My SIL was so upset she almost became nauseated and my brother is still shaking his head.

The only good thing is the other siblings after seeing it now have no interest in tats.

I think you are misinformed. “....Are you a Catholic? It’s proscribed.....”

A Camino De Santiago tattoo would be celebration of my pilgrimage to honor St. James and indulgences I was granted that year for the pilgrimage. I dedicated two of my indulgences I earned that year to dead relatives, which is allowed by Cannon Law. I am considering getting it prior to my next Camino. I don't see such a tattoo as being a “false god” or as more important than God. I see it as attesting to my acceptance of God and religion. But that is just my opinion.

Tattoos if celebrating something sexual, satanic, or done for immoral purposes, are prohibited.

I would refer you to the following as one of many explanations as to why Tattoos are not “proscribed.”

Lol! One of my son in laws has SHAME in 3 inch gothic script across his back. My other SIL has a flaming skull on one side of his chest.

My nephew, 30 years old, has sleeve tats with all Harry Potter images.

Seemingly smart guys by other measures, but WTF are they thinking?!

That would be an excellent epitaph to place on a tombstone. Thanks.

“Strange that the same women will mark up her arms, legs, breasts, etc with trendy ink.”

And years from now when their bodies are older, the skin is saggy and those tats have faded.....wonder what they’ll think of them then?

Yea, I got my Cavalry sabers tattooed on my upper arm. It’s a memento from my time in the Cav overseas. It’s typically a conversation piece also. A way for fellow vets to ID each other. I’ve had it for almost 20 years now and have no regrets. I guess I feel like I earned it.

I see so many women, and men, who have received the gift of physical beauty that opens so many doors, and decided they could improve on it with these cartoons. It’s sad

Most people I know who are covered with tattoos are democrats, bikers being the exception. Most of them are also really flakey. So, I’m not surprised that they would make reckless, impulsive and add irrational decisions.

Anyone who spends time looking at their body and trying to decide how to improve God’s handiwork is losing orbit.

Unless you're Hillary Clinton.

Another study costing a bunch of money to tell us something everyone on the planet already knew.
