Do you know what's in CBD products? I-Team tests them out in lab

CBD is now legal with no prescription necessary, but it's also largely unregulated, which means consumers don't always know what they're getting.

CBD is derived from cannabis or hemp, but it contains very little or no THC so it does not make you high. Some people said it helps with a wide range of ailments from pain to anxiety.

"Everyone is just trying to jump on the bandwagon. You have grocery stores, gas stations, liquor stores and corner stores that are selling this stuff," said Nicholas Patrick, owner of Embrace CBD Wellness Center in Glen Burnie.

Many retailers are selling CBD products, but no one is regulating them.

"That's absolutely true. At this current moment, there are no (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) guidelines, no FDA restrictions. They have a very loose enforcement policy. So, when you're buying CBD, you could be taking a potentially harmful product," Patrick said.

I asked the OP in #13 exactly that, but it seems he just dropped this thread here and vamoosed.

Anyhows, I think the article might be talking about this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannabidiol

Why it or the OP didn’t just say so, well, who knows?

“What is CBD?”

It’s DBC spelled backwards.

Hope that helped...

About a month ago, I started taking some stuff with CBD oil in it that my wife got me. I just took on a new position at work that is much more physical with heavy travel and long days. It is exhausting.

I don’t know if it works or my body is just getting used to the changes.

I’ve always believed that there are many natural things with certain medial benefits, but the CBD insanity to heal scratches to decapitations is pretty insane.

Jury is still out for me. When it runs out, then I’ll know.

Gas stations and feed stores are OK, though, right?

You’re not a very effective communicator if everyone has to Google what you are taking about. Somehow I am supposed to know what every series of letters means. I was always taught to explain abbreviations before using them.

I have been using coffee with CBD and it has marginally reduced my blood pressure from an average of 131/89 to 128/84.

I also gave it to my dog because the veterinarian said my dog had the worst case of spinal and hip arthritis he had ever seen. She lived 10 months beyond what she should have living.

I have approx 250 kinds of weeds on my two acres.

They have as much medicinal effect as the Hemp plant.

Pop Culture sold Pot (it’s cousin) as having all these magical properties to the peeps that drew Marijuana leaves on every notebook and binder they ever owned.

A friend bought a hemp shirt they claimed had all these special properties. He found it to be extremely hot.

The CBD marketing and Media promotion comes directly from the Worship of Marijuana.

You can’t tell Marijuana smokers that anything remotely related it isn’t pure Magic. It’s embedded in the Culture now.

Fables in the Idiot Popular Culture.

They were never taught those rules and they get upset when you call them on it. Happened to me once and what silliness and outrage it produced.

Completely agree. We were told that legalizing it would put the drug cartels out of business and would stop kids from getting it because the legal shops would check IDs. Of course Sacramento never met an industry it didn’t want to tax or regulate to death, so every week I read about another illegal pot shop closed down in Chula Vista, my neighbor’s son (late teens) smokes it all night, and there are so many legal businesses competing for the same market that many are going broke. I didn’t think it was possible to go broke selling pot to Californians.

I just tried the “real stuff” for the very first time while in Washington last week. It was a surreal shopping experience. Finally checked off my bucket list. Great customer service. Very busy place. Ordinary young and older people buying. You could choose to smoke it, eat it, or drink it.
I think anyone who is in pain or has cancer should definitely try it.

My neighbor uses CBD for pain in his neck. He just rubs it on and feels better. He is a pain in the neck, but there’s no remedy for that.

I have the occasional pain in neck and use Arnica, for muscle relief. Arnica is a homeopathic remedy, using cell salts. My pharmacist assures me it doesn’t work, but it does and I changed drugstores because she’s a moron. That drugstore actually carries homeopathic remedies.

I discovered Arnica on the ski slopes years ago. I was on the baby slopes and my friend came schussing down the mountain to me and said “Watch this.” He pulled up his pants leg revealing a nasty swollen bruise on his knee acquired when he fell. Pulled out this tiny bottle, took half a dozen tiny pills. And we could see the swelling go down. He got back on his skis and I’ve used Arnica ever since. Absolutely works for me. Cheap too.

Other homeopathic remedies do too for cold relief, coughs, sleeplessness, nervous tension, etc. The important thing is to get exactly the remedy you need for your condition. Cold relief wasn’t working very well till I found cold-with-chest cough remedy. My health-food-store has a good supply of Hylands brand. There’s another brand with more varieties, but I cannot get the tops off the bottles and end up hitting it with a hammer, spilling the stuff all over the floor.
