A Little Caesars restaurant in Fargo, North Dakota is capturing hearts and feeding the hungry with a new policy they posted with a sign in their window.
A new idea came to General Manager, Michelle Lussier, after she noticed an ongoing problem: people were eating leftovers from the store dumpster. Lussier decided to approach the situation with a surprising solution, offering free slices of pizza inside the store.
She recognized that the homeless are human beings the same as everybody else, and deserve dignity, respect, and compassion.
The sign hung on the drive-through window reads:
To the person going through our trash for their next meal, youre a human being and worth more than a meal from a dumpster. Please come in during operating hours for a couple slices of hot pizza and a cup of water at no charge. No questions asked.
In a video about the new policy, Lussier offers hope. Instead of merely thoughts and prayers, she offers something real: delicious pizza.
Dont feel embarrassed if youre hungry and you dont want to do what others do, you know stand on the corner for handouts, says Lussier.
You feel down about that, youre more than welcome to come here and grab a couple slices.
According to Valley News Live, the restaurant also donates leftover pizza to the local food pantry and has a donation box inside the store that benefits the homeless in the area.
This restaurant is extending goodwill to the homeless. In return, they endear themselves to the community with some good public relations, earning well-deserved customer loyalty.

What a wonderful gesture! If more people thought and behaved like the management of this restaurant I have no doubt we would shape a better world. Please share this story if you agree you might inspire someone out there!

Be careful trying to move it across the street to the holes.
If it’s of any consequence, you can buy their sauce online now. They went corporate on us and have an online store.
Why do some people always think there is some ulterior motive behind a persons goodness.
What? You expect me to wash down this crappy pizza with water? Give me a bottle of Mad Dog before I cram this pepperoni up your wazoo!
The Littpe Caesar’s near me appears to be entirely run by Guatemalans.
Found this out when I called ahead to place an order and no one answered, checked website and the website didn’t take orders for that store, and when I walked in, everyone, including the customers, were 4 feet tall and looked at me with horror.
I still managed to place an order though despite no one speaking English.
Feeding bums will attract bloggers.
I caught that too. The faithful are fair game for ridicule and scorn. I stopped reading there.
Way to go broke quickly. How long before every one showing up is ‘homeless’?
this works until the millennials come crawling out of their mother’s basement looking for free food
then the store will get swamped by too many requests
this is how all good things get destroyed by the left
Good intentions but if one has ever gotten a whiff of someone who actually lives on the streets and eats from dumpsters, then one knows that if that person takes the offer, he/she will be the only one there for the interim and folks coming in an hour later will wrinkle their nose and do an about face....
The Fargo homeless will be making their way to Florida soon to spend the winter out of serious freezing weather.
Happens every year.
What the heck. They don’t deliver?
I think there are several Foxs in Alabama. Trussville has one definitely.
Homeless can come in and get free pizza, while everyone else has to pay? I almost want to be outraged, but I think Little Ceasars pizza is complete trash as food anyway, even at the price they charge.
They shouldn’t be encouraging homeless bums to come inside and eat for free, that’s not sanitary for one thing, and it’s also insulting to all the paying customers. They can always set up a program where they send all their leftover and mistake pizzas to the local homeless shelter every night.

Once Bernie Sanders takes over, everything will be free. /S
Darn, they keep this up they might be accused of being Christian and go down the tubes like ChicFilA. /s
First of all Little Caesars at best is ok. They sell slices and they will conflict with paying customers. This will lead to lots of trash in and around the store.
Businesses used to give away leftovers but stopped by the possibility of law suites from food being spoiled or affecting allergies.
Manager doesn’t = owner. If she’s not the owner, she’s stealing. She should pay for it herself. There’s been arrests and law suits over this behavior of employees.
Why should anyone pay for anything? Every joe blow could ask for their free pizza. She’s encouraging bums to congregate there which will run off customers.
That’s what’s happening in uber liberal Austin, TX after the lib mayor, against Gov. Abbott’s advice, decided to allow the homeless to camp anywhere a few weeks ago. They’re camping out on front doors of businesses and making advances at customers. There’s nothing the owners can do. The owners can’t call the cops because it’s now legal. Owners are closing early for the safety of employees and several have already put their businesses up for sale. They’ll have to take reduced sale prices because no new owner would want to deal with it.
San Francisco disease is spreading.
It’s fast becoming illegal to donate food due to supposed health hazards.
The grocery store here hasn’t been allowed to set out old produce or packaged bread for 20 years.
