Flying in the mane cabin! Emotional support miniature HORSE is seen sitting on a passenger's lap on flight from Chicago to Omaha - before it's filmed trotting along through the airport
Two separate Twitter users filmed a woman travelling on a the 1hr 30min American Airlines flight with her miniature pony on Thursday
US Department of Transport has published new guidelines allowing passengers to bring the emotional support animals on domestic flights
Airlines could now face fines if they block travelers from bringing the pets onto planes if they are designated as 'service animals'
Traveling with 'emotional support animals' has exploded in popularity in recent years, with ducks and kangaroos accompanying owners on flights
First it was a kangaroo, then an emotional support duck. Now a miniature horse has become the latest unusual animal to accompany a passenger aboard a flight. On Thursday, a Twitter user by the name of Ewan Nowak posted a video to Twitter that showed the adorable tiny horse aboard a packed American Airlines plane. Nowak, who shared the clip with Storyful, says he noticed the animal shortly after boarding the aircraft which was travelling from Chicago to Omaha. The footage shows the pony fast asleep on its owner's lap on the packed plane. 'At this time we would like to begin boarding with any active duty military, families traveling with children under the age of 3, and horses,' Nowak humorously wrote.

Was it house broken?
The world has gone mad.
DAMN DUMBEST THING EVER!!!
If you need an ‘emotional support animal’ to survive, you need to stay home.
This has gone beyond absurd.
Having a little trouble with this one. Is the horse emotional support for the pig or the pig emotional support for the horse?
Someone, ANYONE, show me how to post pics; I have the perfect pic for this thread and I’ve NEVER learned how to post pics in all these years!
There is one thing for certain.
She is a Democrat.
Dog can be house broken. Horses can not.
They better allow my support giraffe on board.
Horses are intelligent, wonderful animals. Miniature horses are all that in a more manageable size.
... just don’t paint a cutie mark on it ....
And personally if the critter was mine and I needed to travel this would be a good idea.
Of course I would REALLY be the horse’s emotional support for what would otherwise be a stressful situation for it ... but we don’t need to mention that now, do we?
Was it house broken?
************
You mean horse broken?
Soon they’ll be doing surveys asking the animals which airlines THE ANIMALS like flying on the best.
Can’t wait for someone to book a flight to Riyadh with their pot-bellied pig emotional support animal. Preferably during Ramadan season.
I’ve potty trained birds. Literally. They would tell me they needed to go when out of their cages by doing a dance and then wait for me to hold them over the toilet so they could go.
So can not may not really be can not.
I want a support Rhino.
What happens when it takes a dump?
Ouch!
Stupid. What happens during an emergency evacuation?
sorry but anyone who is so mentally unstable that they can’t function in life without an ‘emotional support’ anything (Live animals we’re talking)- shouldn’t be using public transportation because of the safety risk that doing so causes other people- They should be institutionalized until they are well enough to be able to travel just like everyone else- These people are mentally ill and need care- not coddling to support the mental illness-
This is exactly what happens when you give an inch to the left- they ALWAYS take a mile and make life miserable for everyone else!
On the flight, the horse didn’t say much.
It was a little horse.
