An Ohio homeowner shot dead two teenage boys who he say were 'trespassing' on his property on Wednesday night.
The homeowner has not been named but is being questioned.
He told police that on Wednesday at 9.30pm, he shot the two boys in his 'garage'. He called 911 afterwards.
The boys have been identified as 17-year-olds Devon Henderson and Javier Harrison. It remains unclear if they were trying to break into the property, or what their motive for being there was.
When the homeowner called 911, he told the operator: 'I shot two guys. I shot two persons tried to rob to do something in my house.'
Dayton Daily News, a local outlet, says one of the teenagers' father's believed they knew the shooter and had been in the garage before.

“Killing someone who is in your garage (unattached from the house no less), and who isn’t directly endangering your life, is not justified. “
Your right. He should’ve handed them a three page questionnaire on what their purpose for being there was and their armed state as well as their personal fitness level as to how lethal they might be with bare hands (which are used in most murders). Only after they filled that out and he cross examined them about it could he be 100% certain that lethal force was justified. The whole process should not have taken more than 15 or 20 minutes.
Any intruder will be met with lethal force.
Your advice to cops is correct.
Based on your initial comment, I am not surprised you came back with such an obtuse reply.
But feel free to test your theory. If you don’t understand basic law and its application here, I am not going to argue with you about it.
You don’t know that. It’s your home, they have no right to be there uninvited. They should of thought of that before entering. I’m not saying I agree with how this went down, but your house is your house.
Are they back in school? Maybe they needed to steal some stuff to pay for school supplies.
“It’s too late to be caught wandering around on my property.”
But 8:30 is ok?
It’s only right.
When the homeowner called 911, he told the operator: ‘I shot two guys. I shot two persons tried to rob to do something in my house.’

He started to lie. He knew those boys were there to smoke dope in his garage. Again.
This will be an easy conviction.
Trespassing can and will get you killed, so will breaking and entering and robbery.
And yep, maybe me turning someone in my garage into swiss cheese will land me in prison, but it’s also going to land the criminal in the grave, and I know which one I would rather be in.
Not about to be taking chances so I can get murdered by some punk.
One door is boarded up, too.
He definitely screwed up the 911 call. No question there.
Detached garage? This guy needs to shut up and get a good lawyer. That’s true in castle doctrine states as well as blues states.
Wouldn’t that depend on the supplies?
I have a pencil or two but that fresh box of 64 crayolas with built in sharpener may be lacking, what now?
I don’t care what you do, brah, as long as you don’t show up in my garage.
Then we’ll have problems.
Bye.
Looks like new roof and siding. Strange.
This prudence should belong to the private property owners sole discretion to be compassionate or not. Just like it is for an officer of the law. On his own private property he IS the law period. Even law enforcement has great restrictions against authority on private property. Yet law enforcement can shoot a trespasser on someone else’s private property at their discretion but the owner of that private property cannot?
Nope, The weak have been slowly brainwashed into giving up our own legal private property rights...
Agreed, but being spring loaded to shoot will have serious consequences. Any shoot, even justified, can ruin your life, so be prepared, but make good decisions. If a shoot is avoidable, AVOID IT.
Not even close. They were robbing him and they confronted him.
Bang
The teens were merely in pursuit of their happiness.
You’re assuming the homeowner was inside his house. Could be he was out in the garage tinkering around like many men do and they came at him.
