Todays Cryptogram
YZX TPM YK HAFZY THKLFR AR YK YVHL YZX CAFZY KN YHVYZ VEKL YZXQ. AWP S. TXCCR
You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter.
For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for todays Cryptogram.
If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hals Helper below:
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.
Todays puzzle is from the Arkansas Gazette.
Solution to our last puzzle:
PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED TO KNOW HOW MUCH I LEARNED ABOUT PRAYER FROM PLAYING POKER. MARY AUSTIN
All but the author’s name in about a minute, then stumped.
About 1 min 30 secs. Got everything except author’s middle initial. Googled author to get middle initial and found out author has very interesting bio. Not only does solving these puzzles exercise my mind, but I learn about many interesting people. Thanks nikos1121.
Quickee!
That one went quickly. Find the T and everything else tumbles into place pretty smoothly.
This was an easy one. A couple of words, and the quote falls into place.

Translation - See Spot Run
No hyphen in the name? A few minutes.
Made a couple of ‘correct’ stabs and it turns out to be almost a ‘Rushism’.......<: <: <:
Rush has his ‘way’ of borrowing and rewording to suit his mood at the time....
I ‘love’ his triple and quadruple predictions and when the subject ‘comes’ to bear he is quick to bring out the ‘winner’ and take ‘credit’..
IMNSHO, Rush got a little soft for a while but he basically lost me when he was railing athletes on a daily basis about ‘their’ substance abuse while he was in the middle of a ‘problem’ of his own...
I still listen at MY convenience and will not search to hard when I run out of the ‘area’ he is being carried on.
6 minutes, I had to look up a letter in the name.
