I have two questions about Popeyes' Chicken Sandwich for those who have eaten one.
1) Do you think it is better than a Chic Fil-A Chicken Sandwich?
2) Is it spicy, even the least bit spicy?

I routinely spice up whatever I eat with all kinds of black pepper, cayenne pepper, Tabasco sauce and any other hot sauces I've saved from eating at Mexican food joints.
But my favorites are a large collection of bottles of kick ass hot sauce that friends gift me. Stuff that would burn the paint off your house, melt the asphalt, and poison the plants in your flower beds.
I grew up with hot sauce on my high chair. Never have like bland tasting food since then.
If it's not spicy, nose-running, tongue-burning, tears-in-your-eyes hot, it ain't food.

There’s been one in my neighborhood for at least 10 years now ... and I still haven’t walked into it. Too many other places to eat, I guess.
There’s certainly a political component. Libs despise Chick-Fil-A and would love to see it hurt by Popeye’s. Ain’t gonna happen.

So, is it the LSM's anti-Chick-Fil-A, or is it really a good place, in general?
Here in L.A., I went to Popeye’s during their lunch hour.
I was the only in line, 10 person deep, who wasn’t a “brutha”.

The Beyond Taco is about twice as much coin as the regular Taco at Del Taco. I had a free coupon to give it a try...Meh. Zero reason to get another. Del Taco did away with Turkey Tacos to add the Beyond Taco. The Turkey had less fat and calories then the Veggie Beyond version. I gave Corp. a piece of my mind when they pulled that stunt.
Why would I try Popeyes when I’ve already had the best...Chick-fil-A. Kinda seems like a waste of time.

This is the latest episode of one of my favorite YouTube series, “EmmyMadeInJapan.” Emmy is a very charming Chinese-American lady who tries foods from all over the world and various periods in history, including MRIs and emergency rations, shows you how to make all kinds of recipes and crafts, etc. She even has her own bees and chickens. She’s like Martha Stewart, if she were funny and lovable.
Anyway, for her most recent video, she did a taste-test comparison of Popeye’s and Chick-fil-A’s sandwiches. Bottom line: she personally liked Popeye’s a little better, but thought both were excellent and Chick-fil-A’s service was much better.
Why would you go to Popeye’s and not get a 3 piece, spicy, on mashed potatoes? You might as well go to KFC or something.
I tried one as a one-time thing — it was fine — but would never pay that much on an on-going basis for any “burger”.

I rarely buy Popeye’s, but like it. Anyway, I went to pick up a meal last Friday night and there was a long line going out of the building and the drive through was more than a complete circle around the building. I decided to pick up some Thai instead.
