A four-inch hole in the blind flange to let some warm vapor out and maybe a two-inch to add water and return condensate. Might take a month or two for the steam to equalize?

A new roof might be needed on the building? No more heating bills and rent-free!!!

And perhaps a large atmospheric relief, just in case?

365 degrees F, that’s hot enough to cook a turkey.

they managed to dig more than 7.5 miles down into the Earth....they had to stop drilling because the temperature was around 180 degrees Celsius, which was far hotter than the scientists predicted it would be

but they have "Climate change" nailed right down to the last penny....

At the bottom they discovered socks. Single, unpaired socks. Some of them are mine.

Did they reach China?

Also, since EVERY deep hole in this hemisphere was supposedly deep enough to reach China, when the Chinese dig a hole what is the comparative destination?

We already have geothermal wells a lot shallower that are producing energy, but I’d guess we could always use more.

What Would Happen if You Jumped Through the Center of the Earth?

...But even if you managed to make a tube that allowed you to pass through the magma, sucked all the air out of the tube, and wore a spacesuit so that you could breath, there would still be problems. Namely, the rotation of the planet. In short, about halfway to the center of the Earth you would be moving sideways about 1,500 mph (2400 kmh) faster than the walls of your tube. This fact is obviously terribly bad for your long-term health. You would bounce and bang and careen off the sides of the tube and, well, die.

But putting all of these issue aside (and several others that I’ve failed to mention), if you could jump through the Earth, your momentum would keep you traveling through to the other side. And how many minuets would this take?

42. And that, as we all know, is the answer to life, the universe, and everything.

If you fell down the hole, it would take around 3.5 to 4 minutes to reach the bottom

The well starts with larger bits at the surface and they will run protective strings of casing as they go. So, probably the hole is about 24” wide at the surface and only 8” wide at the bottom. Incidentally, the deepest borehole in America is in Oklahoma. The Bertha Rogers #1. 31,440’.
