OK. That is a criminal action. The penalty for it MUST be the same as an innocent man would have gotten. No exceptions. Being a cop makes it worse: sworn to protect and to serve.

Legal experts were a bit taken aback that police would do something that seems only likely to increase the likelihood of a wrongful conviction.

Cops that do this should be jailed in general population with a special uniform that says “dirty cop”

Had he gotten the tattoos recently, or had they been there long before the robberies?
Relevant questions are rayciss, of course.

The police department there should be greatly punished and immediately let this man freely walk out that door with millions of dollars in his pockets.

To protect and serve is just a marketing slogan. They are only sworn to be bodymen for the state in enforcing laws and protecting crime scenes and garnering revenue of the state.

As long as the cops are
really sure that the guy is guilty, I dont see the problem.

Odd, but we are going to find that we are on the same side as the left on this one, I think, unless it comes out that this fellow voted for DJT and has a MAGA hat in his car..

The article doesn’t mention that the perp had altered his face to hide the tattoos during the robbery. Forensics was trying to duplicate what the perp did.
To: E. Pluribus Unum
Not much chance he got all those tats at the same time or over a couple of days. He should have done what we all advise each other to do- shut up when arrested except for calmly asking for an attorney.

Sounds like a reasonable thing to do, therefore it must be rayciss.
