30 seconds?
I’m not a skydiver, but to me 30 seconds without a SPLAT at the end doesn’t compute.
At 103 you’re probably past worrying about death.
“To celebrate her 103rd birthday, her son Warren, a frequent jumper, decided to take his mom with him...”
I wonder if there is a significant inheritance involved in this equation? Next year he will want to take her snake hunting in Australia.
Wait... at 103 she has a SON that took her skydiving?
I hope they meant great grandson...
Takes a lot longer to come down from 10k than 30 sec’s - more like minutes. I don’t know how long the free-fall was what with her age.
She also set a record for having a kid at 84.
Wow pretty amazing to be doing that at 103, the same age as Madonna.
“oldest to successfully skydive.”
Do they keep records for those unsuccessful?

She won’t have to worry about me breaking her record. Why jump out of a perfectly good plane?
I love the bulky knit sweater - don’t wanna get chilly up there!
I did this exact thing at the exact same place. I’d been a licensed pilot for atleast 5 years and been around aircraft all my life because of my father. I was totally at ease in the airplane (Cessna Caravan) the whole way up to 12,000’.
When I saw the people in front of me disappear out the side of the plane I had a crazy shock of fear-panic. A voice in my head was screaming “WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING”!. I figured if I was going to die here then this is it. Instead of ‘arching’ and holding my arms out I went completely limp...then got my senses after the third time my jump master screamed ARCH, ARCH!. I ended fine....with me in the pilots lounge after a couple tripple rum’s and coke back.
Well, God bless her.
