Posted on a Facebook group called Tasmanian insects and spiders, the photos of the hairy huntsman spider is making headlines around the world.
These viral photos are not for the faint-hearted. It shows a giant spider trying to eat a very small possum:
It makes one wonder if the many-legged beast could make it away with a human baby let's hope not!
That doesnt mean that you wont find one in your flat or in the car.
The Australian Museum states:
Huntsman spiders of many species sometimes enter houses. They are also notorious for entering cars, and being found hiding behind sun visors or running across the dashboard.

The came “Friends” and I stopped watching TV.
Remember that time you threw the shoe at that spider that was hanging out above your bed that just fell and disappeared? He remembers
“You can’t pay me to move to Australia.”
Amen brother!
Post that picture everywhere—bulletin boards, billboards, internet, restaurants, workplace, churches, magazine covers, cereal boxes-—it will be the end of the movement to disarm America. Everyone will demand the right to a large=capacity semiautomatic bazooka. Yeeaccchhh!!!!!!
Ping!
Glad you made it out of Australia alive.
;-)
The poster leaves a lot of things out.
Kangaroos, brown snakes, poisonous toads, dingos, crocs, rugby players, stone fish, giant centapeides, Russel Crowe, and a bunch more nasty critters.
How's this?
Thanks for making me think that winters aren’t really that bad here in northern Michigan. We have pretty benign small creepy crawlers and we survive the mosquitos.
Possibly even the dust bunnies.
The overly accessorized AR-15, for all your taticool options,
or the Bighorn Armory Model 89, aka the "spike driver".
P.S:
All warranties are null and void if you miss.
Pregnant Pepsis Wasp never loses that battle.
Watch it.
This is why we need the green new deal, or in 11.2 years, these spiders will have migrated to Wisconsin.
Thanks a lot.
Uh pardon me emperor....but is that spider using two rear legs to anchor itself? Must have strong toenails to do that.
“This is why we need the green new deal, or in 11.2 years, these spiders will have migrated to Wisconsin”.
And without the New green Deal they’ll be up in the Arctic eating baby seals.
LOL! I can’t wait for the new round of Hollywood PSA videos about saving the baby seals from climate change.
They’re probably making the videos as we speak.
One thing is certain: They’ll never say climate change is a threat to pregnant women.
Fake to the max. Spider stomach never got bigger.
“I would have a heart attack.”
Yeah, I would end up in a psych ward for a while.
