On Friday, the family of 79-year-old Hollywood actor Peter Fonda announced that he had died.
It is with deep sorrow that we share the news that Peter Fonda has passed away, the family told People Magazine Friday afternoon. [Peter] passed away peacefully on Friday morning, August 16 at 11:05 a.m. at his home in Los Angeles surrounded by family. The official cause of death was respiratory failure due to lung cancer.
In one of the saddest moments of our lives, we are not able to find the appropriate words to express the pain in our hearts. As we grieve, we ask that you respect our privacy, they wrote, "and, while we mourn the loss of this sweet and gracious man, we also wish for all to celebrate his indomitable spirit and love of life. In honor of Peter, please raise a glass to freedom.
It’s always good to try and get accurate information.
I had in my mind that thing was yellow, pretty much all these years.
Of course, I first saw it at a drive-in so you don’t always get the best picture quality there.
Plus what with “Bullitt” being a ‘68 for both the Mustang and the Charger, I’m probably seeing the taillights from that black Charger.
But now, that green ‘69 is in my memory. Thanks for making me look again. Back then I was probably more focused on Susan George than the car. Heh
bitt - PM.
Drawing a blank on her character in PF.
Yes! ULEES GOLD is a treasure and Peter Fonda was terrific.
Whatever happened to Susan George after that movie?
Oh tell me what wonderful message easy rider shares with it’s audience?
Dunno - I only saw her in that SciFi which was earlier
No doubt praying people don’t find out about their frequent flyer points...
I saw Easy Rider when it first came out. Hadn’t seen it in years so I took a look again not that long ago. Either my taste has changed or it didn’t age well. Self indulgent and kinda boring.
I mean it’s not Billy Jack bad but I have no inclination to see it again. Of course other than 2001 A Space Odyssey and A Clockwork Orange I can’t think of any movies from that era that were worth anything... Kubrick both times...and I don’t have an interest in seeing those two again either.
Don’t you mean Jacqueline Bisset?
Susan George was in Straw Dogs.
Thx
No problem :)
I seem to remember Bisset in “The Deep’. But that was a long, long time ago.
"He called for Trump admin officials to have their kids taken from them and thrown in cages with pedophiles"
Should be on his tombstone.
Even worse, he died and Twitter still let him keep his account.
Rest in Piss, Petie... you spent your final year on Earth spreading hate, advocating for violence and destroying your legacy.
Well done, f*** face. https://t.co/yb4aVCvlc9— Brenden Dilley (@SirHublife) August 17, 2019
Ape hanger are cool.
I know people that ride with them just fine.
LoL, why yeth I did.
Thanks for posting that.
That movie review is spot on.
They are “lifestyle” accessories, you know, for the “look” while droning around downtown.
I do the vast majority of my riding on hilly curved roads. I don’t think it would be enjoyable with those ape hangers and that kind of rake.
