Much as I enjoyed being taken to those two games by Dad, I think I enjoyed taking him and Mom even more. Very cool!

Spent many, many hours on the $1.00 left field, lower deck bleachers (well-worn 2x8's) at Connie Mack Stadium with my paternal Grandfather. Very fond memories for me.

Got to take Grandpop to a Phils game at the Vet in one of the premier boxes...the look on his face was priceless.

Everett and Jones B-B-Q Oakland and Moms in Emeryville or Berkeley. Can’t find moms on line. Moms had no seats take away. mercies and porches lined up double parked on Friday night where all you could do was take a pre-packed dinner a slab and two sides and your choice of spicy sauces.

We like to go to Zachary's Pizza, which specializes in thick Chicago-style pizza. The one in Oakland nearest the stadium was too crowded after the game, so we went to the one in San Ramon, near our hotel.

I also like Nation's Giant, a burger chain with an eatery in Berkeley. And several years ago, I found a good Pakistani restaurant on Telegraph Ave. in Berkeley.

On the way north, we like to have lunch at the Dala Horse, a Swedish restaurant in Kingsburg, just south of Fresno. On the way back south, we sometimes eat at the Harris Ranch outside Coalinga, which is famous for its steaks.

And the housing along the rim of the Arroyo Seco is pure vintage Craftsman style homes worth millions. One of the most beautiful sections in southern California.

Neyland should be higher on the list.

Just thank god the Boise State stadium isn’t on the list.

Terrible list without FSU stadium.

It's a great place to read a book.

I usually park up there and walk to the games.

Worst of all, I’ve never seen any actual Beavers there.

Do girls not go to Oregon State games?

I believe Beaver Stadium is Penn State. And all the girls I’ve seen there have their beavers covered.

No way could you beat the spectacular setting of Husky Stadium. My wife and I sat on the north side about the 50-yard line during an Apple Cup in the early 2000s. Last row. We could see Mt. Rainier, the Space Needle, the boats on Lake Washington, and both floating bridges. Based on its setting, it should be number 1, hands down.

The politics in ultra-liberal Seattle are unquestionably insane. But that goes without saying - it is run by Democrats. In spite of that, the pre-game patriotic music is spectacular. You might remember that the band beautifully plays “America the Beautiful” while forming a flagpole and rolling out a huge American flag. After the flag has been formed, they play the national anthem. With all the anti-America garbage going on in the NFL (I guess that is a professional football league /s) the last few years, I was afraid it would affect the pre-game stuff.
Fortunately, it hasn’t. I hope it stays that way.

Husky Stadium: “The Greatest Setting in College Football.”
