Lots of political activism sites, of course, but a significant portion of the sites are torrent/filesharing sites.
We won’t revisit the copyright debate here but it’s worth noting that Google is leftist but it’s also greedy. Film, TV and video game advertising is a huge segment of Google’s ad sales, not least because new ads appear every day with new releases. Torrents can undermine overall ticket sales, streaming subs and retail purchases.
One bizarre entry is bachandbachettefans.com. Why bother with a fan site, you may ask? It’s because that particular site is less about episode discussions and instead is dedicated to ‘sleuthing’ before during and after the runs of Bachelor and related reality programming. The users discover who the participants are, where they are at present, their social media, etc.
Essentially it’s a load of spoiler info. And although the reality TV producers say they don’t fear spoilers that’s a risible lie. Spoilers undermine viewership because they undermine suspense and the secrecy pacts the contestants sign. And so, Google is doing the bidding of clients ABC, CBS, etc.

Obviously, they have a review process by humans to determine which sites flagged by algorithms, actually get blocked or set back (hidden) in the results.
That process needs to be explicit and verifiable, so they can be held accountable.
Those discriminated against by Google (and it looks like Free Republic may be one, on this list) have their businesses harmed, and should have a cause of action to sue for damages, and perhaps punitive fines (which would need to be very large to be meaningful for Google).
Where are the lawyers to take up this case, against some of the deepest pockets in the world?

The way they generate the “high block rate” against conservative sites is deliberately engineered by leftists. Where a conservative might simply ignore a far-left site, a leftist will blacklist the conservative one. End result: almost all blocked sites are conservative. Same technique is used on Twitter as well to the same effect.
