Somebody needs to do the math: how much would it cost to provide electric “filling stations” on the scale we currently have gas filling stations? What would this do to the electric grid? Is this even feasible?
Understand the basics for diving headlong into the unknown . . .

...

Do people’s garages with electric outlets count?

I believe 90% of recharging is done at home or at work.

The idea is that a lot of that would be off-loaded to home garages, recharging overnight when grid demand would otherwise be low.

How many cars park at the Pentagon on Monday morning?

What happens when the Warren Administration mandates electric vehicles, and
40,000 cars plug in simultaneously at 8AM?

Only the nutty ones talk 100%EV.

That said, there is a diversity factor with greater value when home charging after work.
Not many can fuel their ICE in their own garage.

Therefore not as many public charging are needed.

A simple Level 2 EV Charging Station only uses about 5 kW (if that).
Tesla is coming out with 150kW stations soon. While that’s great, most of the cars that currently have Fast Charge options can only suck up 25kW max right now.

I only pay about $25-$30 in electricity per month using my 2019 LEAF. The range is 180 miles. I will never go back to hybrid/combustion. And I can outrace any Mustang or Camero out there.

What is needed is a movie..... Our electric car vacation

Dead Granma or a live not dog need not ride on the roof to get the laughs.

The script practically writes it’s self.

GM quit because they do not havethe engineering talent to do the design work. VW thinks the Merkel subsidy bait is inadequate
