Al Gore claims his climate-change predictions about 2016 have now come true

Former Vice President Al Gore said his predictions from 2006 about climate change over the next ten years have come true and claimed part of the damage has been irreversible.

"You said back in 2006 that the world would reach the point of no return if drastic measures weren't taken to reduce greenhouse gases by 2016. Is it already too late?" ABC News' Jonathan Karl asked during "This Week with George Stephanopolous" on Sunday.

"Well, some changes, unfortunately, have already been locked in place," Gore replied. "Sea level increases are going to continue no matter what we do now. But, we can prevent much larger sea level increases -- much more rapid increases in temperatures. The heat wave was in Europe. Now, it’s in the Arctic, and we’re seeing huge melting of the ice there."

Oh, as in, or did he, predict that his wealth, based on glowbull warming, would continue to grow? That prediction? Ice melting in the arctic! Yeah, well it is summer. And a LOT of sheep are just following along.

Which mansion was he at when he said this? Or was he in a Gulfstream jet burning kerosene like there’s no tomorrow?

Gee Al, are your feet getting wet at your seaside mansion in California due to your predicted rise of sea levels?

Thank you for the unusually nice/cool summer, Al!

Seriesly, it’s been hot at times...but it’s been a good summer heat-wise.

We need more of this type of cowbell...errr...global warming.

As usual women and minorities hit hardest. This must explain the surge in women getting personal flotation implants.

I’m sure glad we have a C- in Science ex-Divinity grad giving advice to the world.
The sad part is the GOP-e filled with people just as stupid.

Sea Level increase is going to continue to happen, no matter what, as long as we remain in a temperate cycle, regardless of CO2... IDIOT.

The earth swings between moderate/temperate and ICE BALL... the longer its in a temperate phase, the more melted ice and warmer the oceans become... and the amount and volume of water on the surface in liquid form increases....

When the temperate phase ends, and the earth cools, the water cools, and its volume decreased, and more and more of it becomes frozen.

I hate to point out to this moron, that before Austria broke away from antarctica, the continent was a lush green habitat, even though it was located near the south pole! When vikings arrived in Greenland it was GREEN and they harvested grapes.

If all it took were 3% more CO2 in the atmosphere per year to end the world, WE WOULD NOT BE HERE... PERIOD.

The earth is a dynamic living system, it has things like the Carbon Cycle, and thank god it does, otherwise WE WOULD NOT BE HERE...

I am all for being wiser about what we do, but the chicken little nonsense has to end.

The money stream must be slowing.

Why bother with facts and rational evaluation of the data? We will never convince these people that they are wrong. They are too scared to think.

It is a waste of time but here goes.

Sea ice data has only been recorded by satellite observation since 1978, just 40 years compared to global time when there is no data. Since there is a GREENland, so named because it was GREEN at one time, we can be pretty sure that there was much less ice at one time than there is now. Of course they can spin a yarn about how that does not matter. 40 years is a blip of time in the record and is statistically immaterial.

I don’t see global cataclysm in this little bit of data.
