A Lime scooter was discovered in Lake Michigan by 12-year-old Will Baumann on Tuesday while he was fishing for carp near the Milwaukee Art Museum.
Retrieving the electric scooter was too much for Baumann to handle on his own, so he recruited the help of Tim Ritter, who works nearby at Lakeshore Rentals, which rents paddleboats and other watercraft.

LMAO!
So I am not saying it could work....
But if you find a lime scooter abandoned....
You can buy a controller that replaces all the Lime electronics for $30 on Ebay, maybe, possibly and it could happen.
But that you can find instructions and links to the Ebay auctions online are really none of my business.
Where I live those things are like more litter...
“How do people get your scooter and throw it in the water?”
That’s what the —— do...they steal a scooter or bike or something, play with it for awhile then throw it in the drink. Sort of giving the finger to society.
I would prefer strawberry.
He caught some crap instead?
Then there are the inter-sectional scooter dangers.
Tweet AOC and ask if she can make one.
You don’t need to fish for carp. The will jump in the boat. I’ve seen the pictures.
Lime scooters have launched in Milwaukee
You rent it from the city and throw it in the lake. :)
Milwaukees version of Evil Knievel, Awful Knawful, tried to jump Lake Michigan on his scooter.
He almost made it.
That’s why I thought til I tried smoked carp.
I am so glad this was posted, I had to stop everything else I was doing to devote my full attention to reading it as a must read article...

Why in the world is this posted here ??

Tim’s first response when he handled the fishing line was “what a load of carp!”
The riders abandon them everywhere on streets.
“and relegate them to bike lanes”
well, at least there’ll be SOMETHING using the bike lanes if they do that ... I’ve never seen a single bike on any of the very expensive bike lanes in my town ...
I love good smoked fish like salmon, whitefish etc. The concept of carp just turns me off but could be ok.
Stolen and abandoned in the lake, no doubt.
They can’t ban those things soon enough.
When I was 12 (1975) I found a Yamaha 125 dirt bike in the woods. Pushed it over 2 miles home. My mom made me call the police. Police picked it up, if owner not found in 30 days it was ours.
I didn’t get in the news
I didn’t get the bike
