I took a hot shower with a bar of Lightfoot’s pine soap two hours ago, and that statement now makes my doo-dads itch.
Does he wash his clothing & underwear?
I wonder how non-bathers manage to have children.
Wouldn’t the pheromones of attraction be overwhelmed by the stink?
I once dated a fellow whose feet smelled godawful, like limburger cheese. Soap did not help.
Supposedly, drinking fenugreek tea alters the internal body chemistry, so I started giving him that.
Pretty soon, he reeked of maple syrup, which was much better.
Oh, that’s just a load of horse sh!t~ :)
I didn’t see the exact strain of bacteria named anywhere in the article, but it would be interesting to research this further.
I’m not paying $50 a bottle for it, though.
We have a large quantity of those folks around here, usually under the freeways.
Yes they reek...
And they leave MOUNTAINS of garbage.
Personally I don’t feel mentally and physically up to par unless I bathe two to three times a day. I wash after sleep to feel refreshed. Sometimes I shower up between shifts. Then I shower at night before I sleep so I sleep better. Especially in the summer. I truly wouldn’t feel well if I didn’t.
We had these kinds of people in the Navy. Eventually they get a shower - whether they want one or not
He ate fruit all the time which he said kept him from stinking.
I also read where Kurt Cobain never brushed his teeth, he just ate apples which he thought cleansed his breath.
I guess you'd have to ask these guy's friends if they agreed.
dave doesn’t work.
I went to this party last year for environmental friendly products...like how a tupperware type party used to be. Basically they are pushing that you use cloths to wipe up germs. No products for bathing and no products for cleaning other than cloths. Forget what company was called. Found it:
Their stuff was very pricey.
We were flying from Seoul to Bangkok years ago. There was an impeccably dressed and groomed American black lady waiting to board also. They didn’t make any airport announcements in English so we were relieved when she stepped up and forcefully asked the gate agents to do so.
Just before boarding they brought in about 20 African students and pre-boarded them as a group. Our seats were just far enough back that the overpowering smell didn’t reach us, but they seated the American black lady in amongst them. Well, it didn’t take but a few seconds for them to realize that she wasn’t about to put up with the stench and I think they moved her to first class.
The rest of the flight I noticed that there were empty rows in both directions from the students. The smell was so bad that the dainty Korean Air hostesses served the students with one hand while holding a handkerchief over their noses with the other.
A girl I worked with in the 90s once told me a story that she either saw or read about where a Western woman was hanging out with Aborigines in Australia. They kept having dingoes following them because of her and what they said was her diet. Something to do with the dairy products she had been consuming. Not sure if that’s true or not, but I know canines can pick up on a lot of things that we can’t.
I read one time that if you eat a lot of/all fruit, your poop smells like fruit. Lol. So maybe Steve Jobs poop didn’t stink. I guess the dingoes wouldn’t have been too interested in him.
I was talking to my son earlier about his first day back at school today. He’s a senior. he was recalling his freshman year and he said he and his friends used to complain about a group of stinky Africans that would hang out by the stairs and kind of block it making it impossible go up or down. Not sure if they were doing it intentionally or not, but he said they were sure “humming”.
I was shocked when Andrew Zimmern of the Food Network recently admitted he hadn’t bathed in over a year!!!!
