I have not heard any report of officers entering the Walmart in El Paso during the 20 minute shooting spree while he chased, targeted and killed people. Did they just wait for him to leave and catch him in a road block or car stop?
yes, the big guns hanging on the wall have locks, yet the hand guns under the counter do not and ammo is everywhere.

Kind of on topic. Did anyone hear the interview of a woman and I believe son who were in the parking lot when it started. She heard what she thought were firecrackers and then saw a person fall to the ground. They were trying to get out of the parking lot and the shooter was blocking the exit so they got down in the car and hid. (Never been close to anything like this so not sure but I think my car would have become a weapon)

Im not saying the police screwed up in any way. My issue is with the total nonsense of selling this like the police got there in time to actually do something to stop this carnage. The fact is it was OVER by the time the police came in contact with this perpetrator.

Nope. At home I carry a Ruger .380 with Hydra-shocks two mags. It’s very flat almost palm size. Will definitely ruin your day. I also carry a Lady Jane LEO grade pepper spray - gun style; you want it in your face or kneecap. Your choice.

They say they arrived in 6 min, he shot for 20. I want to know while they were assembling outside how did he fir for 14 minutes longer and just walk out and drive away???
There was no police response to the El Paso incident. The attack was already over and twenty people were already dead or dying. In fact the killer was already leaving the scene and nearly got away had the police been a little slower.
We need to cut the BS about the level of effectiveness of crazily over armed police and swat teams. It’s getting a little silly after one of these shootings seeing 150 cops standing around playing army with every last one of them dressed in full military gear with military weapons. Many of these guys were wearing night vision gear on their helmets, in the middle of the freaking day! It’s totally ridiculous and its being done for show. It’s police state intimidation. At a time when all we hear is red flag laws its time we look at crazily over armed police departments. We need to take it down and get rid of the military gear and armored cars and get back to wearing a blue uniform, a radio and focus on being peace officers in touch with the community instead of trying to lord over it.

Folks had to be calling 911, from Walmart....explaining that this was happening....at Walmart, and NOT the mall.

That’s not very good. In a major city, to have no cop able to arrive in less than 6 minutes is pretty poor performance. Get in your can and drive normally for 6 minutes from a Walmart. See how far you get. Then double that distance because a responding cop has lights, sirens, is doing 70 at places you were going 45. Can slow and then blast right on through red lights.
You should have had someone screaming into the lot within 2 to 3 minutes at most, and going directly inside to engage.
And the slow response time is proven by the fact that he had time to hunt and shoot close to 60 people, go back outside and get in his car, and depart.
