Victoria's Secret has signed its first ever transgender model less than a year after an executive at the lingerie firm was criticized for making alleged transphobic remarks. Brazilian cover girl Valentina Sampaio, 22, made the announcement on her Instagram page Thursday night and posted behind-the-scenes photos of her photoshoot for Victoria Secret's Pink lingerie line. 'Backstage click,' Sampaio wrote in the caption of one photo. 'Never stop dreaming [people],' read another post, which included the hashtag '#diversity'.

Just a thought on this. Victoria Secrets has a largely unpublicized problem where people will come into the store and actually try on their “wares” unprotected, leaving whatever interesting afflictions or malodies behind when they do not purchase the item. It is also well known but unpublicized that people will purchase an item, wear it at home for an...”event” and then return said item soiled the following day or so. They may have corrected some of these issues since I heard of it and had it verified by a long term friend who worked and modeled there, but who really knows?
