I have had dogs in show and trained them for various roles, and I see many times people abusing the system when it comes to service dogs.
Just recently I was at the Boston airport and a young couple had a dogs with a coat saying service dog. That was no service dog at all. He held the dog he let people stroke and kiss the dog , and when he was questioned about his dog he pretended and lied about his girlfriend having seizures. If that was true she would be with the dog not he, and the dog was certainly not trained. When I questioned on how long the training was and where they quickly left for their terminal
You can go into a store, shopping mall and see people with those small dogs being carried by the owner which have a coat saying service dog. They are not service dogs at all.
For $75 you can get a coat, a piece of paper , and a tag saying your dog is a service dog. It is disgusting that people use this to take their dogs into places where they should not be.
