Mario Lopez’s could be axed from Access Hollywood before his September hosting gig has even started, according to sources.
Lopez was reportedly forced to make his Wednesday apology for his June remarks on the Candace Owens Show that it was 'dangerous' for the parents of transgender children to support their offspring's transition.
NBC hasn't publicly spoken about the controversy but an insider claims executives at his new network were discussing what to do ahead of his on-screen debut for them.
'The execs at NBC held an emergency meeting yesterday to discuss Mario’s future with the show because they do not see how they can just let this fly,' a source told RadarOnline.
'Mario’s comments are not an accurate representation of what the network stands for at all. The network prides itself on equality and do not accept anti LGBTQ hate speech at all.'

You do a search and replace every time ‘hate speech’ is used and it reads so similarly to Orwell’s ‘1984’ that you just can’t come to any other conclusion as to what and who is behind the ‘codification’ of ‘hate speech’.
For example, I’d love to find a powerpoint deck or preso on ‘Hate Crime’ and do that sort of phrase substitution and the see what happened. I think it would be remarkable.

I think he mentioned 3 year olds as being too young to make such decisions.

That’s exactly what hate speech is, thoughtcrime. Punishing people for saying the wrong thing is punishing people for having the wrong thoughts and exposing those wrong thoughts with wrong speech.
Apologizing, no matter how much groveling is done, is never enough now. It doesn’t matter how long ago the so-called hate speech was uttered. It could have been on the kindergarten playground but that’s enough to use in the ruination process.
I wish Mario hadn’t apologized but he probably thought a sincere statement of apology would be enough.
