The sport really has taken a toll on the Buoniconti family. Nick might have suffered CTE related dementia and his son was paralyzed playing football at the Citadel.

I remember Nick playing for the Dolphins but my best memories were his beer commercials.

a great [player and a pretty good guy.

Sorry to here about his dementia, which i think he blamed on football.

My mother has it and to the best of my knowledge she never played in the pros(/sarc)

Takes me back to a time when real football existed...

I gave up on the current pansy/fairy sport about ten years ago...

His son Marc is paralyzed (quadroplegic) because of a football injury.

Remember his son breaking his neck while playing football for the Citadel. A few years later they sued the Citadel but the suit was tossed by the presiding judge.

That perfect, undefeated season with the Dolphins was one of the greatest feats ever in professional sports, and Nick Buoniconti was a big part of that.   RIP.

Pansy? You must be referring to the NBA, not the NFL

“That perfect, undefeated season with the Dolphins was one of the greatest feats ever in professional sports”

Agreed. Also, a lot of people don’t remember back up QB Don Strock played a major role in that due to Greise being hurt.

An incredible story about Nick’s son, Marc and the player involved in the play that paralyzed him:

Actually it was Earl Morrall, not Don Strock.
