Who has seen it?

I thought Inglourious Basterds was a visual masterpiece which captured abject terror better than any film I've ever seen.

Awesome movie if you lived in the late 60-70’s. Brilliant tale of the end of Hollywood prior to the current crop of nut jobs.

It’ certainly qualifies as one of the best Buddy Movies you’ll ever see.

Inglorious Basterds is an excellent movie. I’ve liked every Tarantino movie I’ve ever seen including Reservoir Dogs.

I don’t think I’ve seen more than 3 or 4 of his nine.

IMHO, the best line from Inglorious was;

“More like Chewed out, I’ve been chewed before”

I saw it last night and it was really good. It took me back like a time machine. Like an earlier post said, it’s a great buddy movie.

He’s a brilliant writer when it comes to dialogue. The beginning of Inglorious basterds with Christoph Waltz playing the Nazi is amazing.

When Rex Reed does’t like a movie, he doesn’t mince words:

https://observer.com/2005/03/bobby-short-king-of-pop/
[For sewage in a cocktail shaker, there is Oldboy, a noxious helping of Korean Grand Guignol as pointless as it is shocking. What else can you expect from a nation weaned on kimchi, a mixture of raw garlic and cabbage buried underground until it rots, dug up from the grave and then served in earthenware pots sold at the Seoul airport as souvenirs? ]

It’s interesting that he’s back at The Observer. He was fired in 2017. Rex on Melissa McCarthy:

[Reed is not very woke. In a review of Identity Thief (2013) he made references to Melissa McCarthy‘s weight, referring to her as “tractor-sized” and a “hippo”. Paul Feig, who directed McCarthy in Bridesmaids (2011) and The Heat (2013) tweeted: “I cordially invite Mr. Rex Reed to go fuck himself.” ]

Like Steven King's novels, Tarantino's movies are sick. Okay, I basically liked Inglorious Bastards only because of:

I find Tarantino movies highly creative compared to the usual re-cycled crap out of Hollyweird. Really? Another remake of Charlie's Angels? There must be a million good novels out there that a talented screen-writer could present to the Studios.

Problem is, everyone wants bigger, more explosive, better hand to hand, and now every 100 pound woman to kick some giant guys' ass. I'd rather watch a well acted Rom-com nowadays. There are "chick flicks" I've watched time and again, then the stupid "Transformers" crap.

Seriously, I'm sick of the same over-the-top action movies that are targeted for teenage to 20 something boys. That's why I never go to the theater anymore. Yes, I get the studios are in the business of making money.

More evidence that hollyweird is run by perverts

to the screwy Pulp Fiction

One of my all time favorite movies, but as with all of his movies, it is so disjointed, that it needs to be watched multiple times to really understand the flow.

You hear me hill-billy boy?

Tarintino is a weirdo and a typical lefty but his movies are very good. I am hard core Conservative and can still watch things.

This review is typical Rex Reed.
He doesn’t get the point of the movie. He never does.

I didn’t know that Rex Reed was still alive, much less pontificating on Holly-weird and its drivel.

Of course, having now seen his cat-fight review of this movie, I definitely want to see it!

Tarantino has one common vice throughout his movies.

He refuses to tell the story in terms of the historic argument. Instead he takes a close minded liberal, over simplified, colloquial interpretation of past events from a modern popular perspective. The first indication is the language he uses.

His scarred soul manifests a late 20th century gutter mind lacking any virtue.

His movies are action based entertainment, but reinterpret history in his personal lack of education.

Soundtrack is awesome but have not seen it.

Deep Purple, Vanilla Fudge, Bob Seeger, when California Dreaming began to die but still going strong.
