I dont know how to post but just saw BBC is reporting Facebook that has been fined a record $5 BILLION in privacy fines per the FTC
Five billion?
Chump change. A mere bagatelle.
They need to be put in FaceBook Gaol for a decade.
So they pay a fine and business as usual. There needs to be competition and Facebook demonopolized.
It is a start, although small.
Agreed.
I guess that’s what they get for not getting Hillary elected.
Where is my share?
Tell me when it gets to $50 billion.
“The social network also fell foul of the regulator by not revealing that phone numbers collected for two-factor authentication would be used for advertising.”
Nice.
This is the Facebook Is Evil ping list.

Don’t know how to post? Dang.
You’d think FR would have a
“Post” button somewhere, maybe next
to the Pings button,to guide a person
through posting an article.
Maybe you should give JR
a private mail and ask for
a “Post” button to be
created.
So you have no link or anything but you still felt a need
to post a thread about something you saw on TV? Really?
I saw a commercial for the Pocket Hose this morning.
Have you seen that commercial?
Will you post a thread?
Its like the tariffs, in that the first one demonstrates that you can do it. Now the threat to their bottom line is quite credible.
FTC has an anti-trust Task Force that has been looking at big tech since February, and DoJ announced Monday that it has launched an anti-trust investigation into Google, Facebook and other Big Tech effective monopolies.
Anti-Trust actions could potentially fundamentally destroy their businesses.
Maybe this will be enough of an indicator to them to stay out of politics this next election, but likely they will have to be forced out.
Time to ramp up the inquiry into the operation at FlakeBook.
We don’t want to know about your “pocket hose.”
We appreciate your feedback.
Did you reach this conclusion before or after you purchased the images of my pocket hose?
I thought it was newsworthy.... thanks for being so kind, I appreciate it!
