From 3rd Wealthiest Country To Totalitarian Poverty in 18 Years Under Socialism

When a Democrat tells you they want to make the country better
for everyone, this is their blueprint and how it worked for Venezuelians.
If you don't like the example of Venezuela, then look up the difference of
Los Angeles in 1992 vs today, or any other major city from the time before
a Socialist Democrat gained control to after they had it for 20 years.

The end result is the same time and time again. It's just that Venezuela is the
best example of the total destruction of a prosperous capitalist country from
within, by Socialism in the last 20 years. Those students in College who demand
Socialism over capitalism are clueless that this happened in their lifetime. Yet, it
was the same type of students in Venezuela who were the driving force behind
turning Venezuela to Socialism as the one wanting it in America.

Unless we stop the Universities from propogandizing American students, instead
of educating them, Venezuela will be our future by the time I am 80 years old. I
suggest we start by shutting down 50% of all University / Community college
institutions, and firing 90% of all professors in the remaining 50%.

I was disappointed to find out Thomas Jefferson was in favor of public schools. Of course they are going to swerve into statist territory because the state is paying the bills! The solution is simple: stop paying them . With the Internet and cheap phones people can self educate like never before.

“I was disappointed to find out Thomas Jefferson was in favor of public schools. “

His fault was in not seeing the future clearly. He had no way of knowing that it would result in a system of indoctrination instead of education. Plus socialism hadn’t reared its poisonous head before his death.

Hugo Chavez stole the election because god ol’ Jimmy (I never met a communist dictator I didn’t love) Carter certified him as winner.

This after Chavez used “ migrants” from Cuba, Columbia, Nicaragua and El Salvador wielding baseball bats to beat his opposition into submission

There is a lesson in there somewhere. Especially since Obama and the rest of the Radical Democrats are using the Hugo Chavez model to gain perpetual control of this country

I lived and worked in Venezuela in the early seventies. It was the most prosperous nation in South America. However its government was corrupt. It was no less corrupt than our government today in the USA. The people were fed up with corruption and thus voted for the charismatic Marxist Chavez.

Chavez brought Marxism to Venezuela. Venezuela then failed.

Venezuela should be a warning to us as is California.

I worked in their oilfields. We produced great wealth for Venezuela. Today Venezuela sits on the greatest oil reserves in the world and is an economic failure due to Marxism. Their oil production dwindles year by year. Those with skills to extract this great wealth now work in Columbia, Brazil, the USA etc. They did not want to leave their nation. They simply made wise choices based on economics.

It saddens me greatly to see this in a once lovely nation full of very good people. Those left behind with no great skills suffer greatly.

ps
Chavez did win his first election. He did not win the second election as this was all fraud endorsed by our ex President Jimmy Carter. After Chavez died, Maduro (a damned Marxist bus driver) became president. His election after Chavez was a total farce. Jimmy Carter was silent.

Jefferson's concern was a strange one because people naturally learn things; they have to. As an Enlightenment guy he probably wanted to re-educate people as a way of engineering the society of the future.

I moved to Los Angeles in Feb 1964. I left So Calif in May of 1993.

I left because I no longer felt safe. IF I wanted to go to dinner, I went in daylight & had the bouncer walk me to my car when I left. I traveled with my Labrador in the car as often as possible. I got so I hated to get out of my car at a gas station to pump gas.

I don’t miss So Calif. I won’t go back.

Problem is that the USA is so incredibly wealthy that the Socialists would be able to play this scam out well beyond the end of any of our lifetimes.

Don’t believe our incredible wealth would stop us from becoming Venezuela in 18 years. Corperations would abandon the US in a heartbeat and industry would fail at an incredible rate.

Then the Socialists would make deals with China to call our debt in with the knowledge the Socialists would cave like a sink hole in Florida.

Our current debt makes our ability to be strong in the long run very precarious. Especially when the type of Socialists we see will remove one constitutional right after another with the judges they will appoint.

Also, if you think the judges Trump appointed would stop them, just remember how easily it was for them to get away with Scalia’s murder.
