Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said Fox News "went all in for Trump" in the 2016 primaries in an interview with PBS's "Firing Line with Margaret Hoover."
"I think Fox News went all in for Trump. That was the decision they made," Cruz said in an interview about journalist Tim Albertas book "American Carnage," which quotes Cruz as saying Fox News founder Roger Ailes's "dying wish" was to elect Trump as president. Ailes was forced out in 2016 over sexual misconduct allegations and died the next year.
Asked about the quote, Cruz said, "I didnt know Roger well, but I think it clearly is what he wanted to do."
Hoover asked Cruz why he believed the network preferred Trump as a candidate. "I cant tell you that, but I can tell you, starting in about March of 2016, they went all in for Trump, and they made a decision. That was a decision made at the network level, reflected on every show," Cruz said.

Ted, Worry about Texas.
Ted is wrong. Any number of Fox News hosts did not go all in for Trump. However I am glad that President Trump won.
Cruz went all in for undermining the Constitution, he is not a natural born citizen.
Born in Alberta Canada to a Cuban national and an American.
He’s as eligible as Winston Churchill.
There were plenty of Fox News personalities that were hostile to Trump and still dancing to GOP Inc’s tune.
Here come our domestic enemies at FR again....
Ted, remember these "FAIR", FNC people at first pubbie debate?
Somewhere there is a file with the paperwork detailing how and when he got his citizenship.
We should see it.
If that what he thinks....hmmm...
I was gonna say that I must have missed that day. I miss it every day now. Cable go bye bye.
An extremely relevant recommendation! Unfortunately, Ted is likely to worry only about Ted.
Yeah, Lyin’ Ted, Fox went all in for Trump.
You could see that when Bret Baier and Megyn Kelly hosted the debate; they fawned all over him. [s]
Stupid comment. Fox is no fan of Trump.
I go back and forth on Ted. But I’m basically a black-or-white kind of guy. I don’t want to like Ted on odd numbered days, and dislike Ted on even numbered days. I guess I’ll just dislike Ted every day.
I sense that Cruz is still butthurt that he lost. It wasn’t Fox Ted, it was you. I didn’t vote Cruz for Senate, I voted against Bob “Beto” O’Rourke.
Not so fast ted.
Fox tried to end trumps candidacy with opposition research courtesy of the blond bimbo.
Is he going to come out as a gay activist next?
Still bitter about the 2016 election? Get over it, TED, and be grateful PRESIDENT TRUMP helped you out in 2018.
Exactly. Shep - Never Trump, Bret Baier - not for Trump, O’Reilly sometimes for Trump, Megyn Kelly - against Trump, Hannity - for Trump but was also for Ted. The Five - had one 1 pro Trump out of the 5. Now who besides Hannity was all for Trump again in 2016?
Ted, Worry about Texas.
I dont let him off the hook for the porous borders
