When a woman's car broke down, these teens pushed it five miles to her home

A late-night run to the donut shop turned into a roadside rescue for three teens living near Niagara Falls. It ended with them pushing a stranded stranger's car for hours and inspiring others on Facebook.

Aeron McQuillin, 18, Bailey Campbell, 17, and Billy Tarbett, 15, were on their way to a Tim Hortons donut shop in Fonthill, Ontario, when they spotted a woman on the side of the road with smoke coming out of her car. They quickly diagnosed the problem as a leak that allowed the engine coolant and oil to mix. They also determined the car was too dangerous to drive.

The driver couldn't afford a tow truck. So, Billy suggested that guys push the car. The woman lives more than five miles away.

Great kids. Good to know we still have a few.

There is a picture of them at the link.

As an aside, it is worth being a AAA Auto Club member. They come out and help in these kinds of situations.

Wonderful kids and I’m impressed that at least one of them knew enough about cars to diagnose the problem.

We’ve had AAA for 20+ years and it’s great, but not everyone can afford it.

Knowing CNN, it probably pulled her spark plugs to get this story rolling.

Are we sure the kids didn't do it on the hopes of getting laid?

Here is a pic of the woman driver, purportedly a Ms Stickler...

If you stay down here, you get used to the air... ;)

Seriously, good on the kids. Someone raised them right.

Great shape indeed considering they were making a donut run to Tim Horton’s. They DO make great donuts!
