I have found this to be true of many Africans with whom I’ve worked. They’re very glad to be here, very hard-working, and one never hears them complaining about racism.
Most of the African Americans that I know are that way, too; but the ones who get all the news and attention are the ones infected with ‘victimhood’.

Nigerians and Caribbean Blacks are sucking up a bunch of the affirmative action admissions quotas meant for American born Blacks at American Universities. Unlike the native Blacks, they have a high graduation rate after admission.

I'll bet few of them were imported as UN sponsored refugees. My daughter was friends with one in college. Her family were Christians escaping Muslim slaughter. The friend's Dad got them in on a merit visa based on his skill as an M.E.
Muslim limb choppers running wild is only part of the reason so much of Africa is turning into $#*+hole countries. The other part of the equation is that people who could turn them around are heading for the exits in droves.

African Immigrants who immigrate here legally, do extremely well, they are hard working, smart and want to be Americans.
I have no problem with people who are smart and want to come here and better society.
I just wish the African Americans (and others) would get of their keisters and do something productive instead of waiting around the democrat gravy train to delivery the 50+ years of promises that will never arrive.

I have worked with innumerable Nigerians and they were all well spoken, hard-working and motivated with no desire to return to the sh~thole they had come from.

Once knew a Nigerian-American family - smart, educated, hardworking, studious, determined - and very kind Christians, too.
Plus, I loved their accents. lol
Of course, that doesn’t mean that every single person from a particular country is the same. But, the fact that this ethnic group is successful isn’t surprising at all.

Well, they’re all princes and princesses, or they’ve inherited mega-bucks from other princes...so of course they’re successful.
Good on the smart ones if they got out and did well here. Those are the kinds of immigrants we need, not ones who come here to pop out a kid and get on welfare and free medical.

I got involved with a Nigerian Christian church for a while after I sold them their church building. There were no slackers in this congregation. They were all well educated and had good jobs or were in university.
I got to know the pastor very well. His children were all high achievers. They had been in North America a long time and spoke correct English without an accent that I could detect.

One category that's missing, due to PC, is Jewish American. My guess that this is far and away the highest income category, perhaps by a multiple of 2. What the author of this article accomplished, bare-faced lies of omission, is fairly standard for the journalistic profession since before Upton Sinclair set the standard by writing fiction that everyone assumed to be non-fiction. Here, the writer isn't even pretending that this is fiction.

Do Nigerian-Americans fall down the list if we leave out all the Nigerian Princes who keep sending emails trolling for gullible people?
To: CondoleezzaProtege
I saw the headline and immediately guessed it would be African born blacks. The qualification that must be made though is that, like most overseas immigrants, we tend to get their best and brightest while their lesser brothers are stuck in the homeland.
Immigrants from SE Asia, India and Africa that aren’t here as refugees (Somalis) get here because they have shown ambition, talent, and intelligence to get the education and skills we want. Naturally they will outperform most other demographic groups.
