It's telling that even as Pelosi spars with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Trump took on Ocasio-Cortez's pal, Rep. Ilhan Omar, the only one who comes from a foreign country.
Omar, it turns out, is a massive liability for the Democrats. Making her the face of the Democrats is a pretty good way of triggering a GOP landslide, not just in the White House, but in the House of Representatives. Among the working-class voters Democrats must win over to win the presidency, and, for that matter, both houses of Congress, Omar sports an abysmal 9% approval rating along with a 53% recognition rate. Let the comments sink in with the public. Some haters will come around, even if just in part, albeit slowly.
There are ‘progressives’ I know who hate Trump and yet will say things now like ‘but I guess it’s true China is a problem’ or ‘I want something done at the border; just in a nicer way.’
Whereas two years ago they didn’t view either thing as a problem at all.
That’s basically it.
There was an impression that Pelosi had successfully put the Justice Dems under some sort of control, and that impression is bad for Trump.
So he comes in with this blistering attack, obviously crossing a lot of societal taboos in the way he did it. He strengthened Omar and Tlaib etc relative to Pelosi by doing it, making the internecine fighting on the Dem side more durable.
The best thing for Republicans in 2020 is for the “Justice Democrats” to be front and center on the Dem side.

I doubt that there is anyone who has any doubts on who Trump was referring to: Ocasio-Cortez, Tliab, Pressley, and Omer.
The USA should have a complete travel ban with Somalia. By any objective standard, that country is the worst in the world - tribal, violent, backward, low IQ.

Omar married her brother and gamed the immigration system to get into the USA, and gamed the welfare system once she got here. She’s awful.

Calling attention to this radical America hater is hardly problematic politically for Trump. Frankly, calling attention to this is problematic to the Democrats and most people in this country are not radical sympathizers.
If anyone can illustrate that Ocasio-Cortez has any loyalty or devotion to the USA I would be very surprised
