And it can ‘see’ and ‘hear’ everything that you have, do and say in the privacy or your own home and ‘categorize’ the results so they can send you ads for a maid if your house is messy, and ads for new things that you don’t already own. Might even determine your class of income based on your furnishings, or figure out you like music if you have some musical instruments around. And if it gets hacked... Lovely...

I remember when children were used as remote controls for the TV.

Thoseare the kinds of things for which I could use a robot.
Don't need cameras. Don't need internet. Need some work done around the house. Another robot that cleans floors and toilets would be very desirable.

Yes - all other Amazon devices keep showing up in the news for intrusions like recording conversation (many owners keep an Alexa device in their bedrooms) permanently and face recognition (in the dark, probably recorded and accessible by employees as well), and employee’s ability to listen to those recordings.
I think this is probably worse than all devices to date because it can move to other areas - patrol etc. They sell a security system they can mount by the front door - which allows them to see who comes and goes in your house, and when. Creepy. Amazon is creepy surveillance state hardware posed as “convenience” or productivity tools.

Your iphone is listening to you as well, as well as constantly tracking where you are (and presumably knows what you’re doing). I’m convinced of that, too many weird things have happened to me for it to be convinced.
