Making the words "F*** Trump" its battle cry, its rebel yell to rally itself, the women's World Cup team comes with a lot of wokeness. According to the Washington Times:
The World Cup team’s activism is well established. Team captain Megan Rapinoe, who calls herself a “walking protest” against the Trump administration, accused President Trump of “excluding people” in a Tuesday interview on CNN.
“Your message is excluding people. You’re excluding me. You’re excluding people that look like me. You’re excluding people of color,” Rapinoe said in a message to the president.
Weird thing to say to a president who invited her to the White House, win or lose, but the hypocrisy doesn't stop there.
Here's the doozy the Washington Times based its piece on:
Jaelene Hinkle, a 26-year-old star for the North Carolina Courage professional team, has been called the top left defender in the U.S. game, but she wasn’t selected for the national team — a decision that may have had more to do with politics than prowess.
In 2017, Hinkle turned down a call-up from the national team for a pair of international friendlies after learning that the players would wear rainbow-themed jerseys in honor of Gay Pride Month. She said later that the uniform conflicted with her Christian faith.
“I just felt so convicted in my spirit that it wasn’t my job to wear this jersey,” she told “The 700 Club” in a May 2018 interview. “I gave myself three days to just seek and pray and determine what [God] was asking me to do in this situation.”
Hinkle has not played for the national team since. After she was left off the World Cup roster, coach Jill Ellis told reporters that the decision was “solely based on soccer,” an explanation greeted with widespread skepticism.

Give them “equal pay.” That will kill the farce masquerading as a sport and we can be rid of them.
They should be paid the same as the 15 yr old boys team who beat them are paid.
There’s clueless and then there’s bottom-feeding stupid trolling. The author thinks the USWNT is all white? The author has obviously never watched a USWNT game. Yes, the team is predominately white. It look like a throwback the America that existed before Ted Kennedy’s immigration reform inaugurated the great Replacement of Populations. But there are several black and mixed race players in the player pool. I think Crystal Dunn played every minute of this World Cup, so clearly the author didn’t watch any of it.
The sports world deserves “equal pay” good and hard.

Blessings to Jaelene Hinkle. That’s the lady that honors God and country.I hope she gets an invitation to dine at the White House! More important, she has a dinining engagement at a greater table in due time. Her critics will not be there unless they REPENT!

I admire the way that the author of the article didn’t let his lack of knowledge of the subject get in the way of a good rant.
When will someone in the press ask them why they have such a small representation of people of color? They don’t look like ANY professional basketball, football or baseball team when you look at the team pictures. In fact most of the pics of this team, all I can see is an arm or leg of color as all the non color girls stand in front. So, just how “woke” are they?
I was trying to determine if the women’s soccer team had large crowds in NYC. No wide shots on the news to see the actual size of the crowds. I did see Rape-her-now spouting her politics. Sadly, politics in sports has ruined sports.
Search and destroy all our leisure time activities is their plan. It is working.
