How about relativity? Temporal and spatial intervals are not a constant

“There, astronomers observed an amazing 3,000+ galaxies!”

Or reflections or projections of other galaxies.

Most people intuitively think that the Big Bang means that the Universe came into existence as an explosion of matter and energy into empty space. Actually, the process was the expansion of matter and energy and space time itself, with existence itself expanding so as to fill what had previously been mere nothingness.

The speed of light has not always been what it is today. At least that is my understanding. For a very short time period it was much much higher during initial expansion.

I've never heard that one. I think you're referring to the still-highly controversial "Inflation Theory", where, for an near infinitely brief instant in the very beginning, the universe expanded many times faster than the speed of light. This it could theoretically do because it wouldn't involve an object actually traveling *through* space faster than light, which is strictly forbidden in Einstein's theory, but rather space itself "stretching".

How could Republicans hold both houses for two years and allow democraps to stomp all over them with a hoax investigation?

” since matter cannot be created nor destroyed “

You should really review your physics!

I’ve been a fan of astronomy for 46 years and I watched the video a few weeks ago but I didn’t get it.

Save The Hubble .. Again!!

‘They’ say it can’t be done nor should it be done.

I say.. Go for it!!

This one instrument alone opened the universe to so many at a relatively cheap price, even tho initially botched lenses smudged its reputation.. few missions ever succeed as spectacularly either.

The speed of light is the speed limit through time and space. The inflationary period after the big bang was the actual expansion of space-time and did not have any speed limit.

Not sure about that. In any case, what about the period when the expansion apparently began to *accelerate*, under the influence of so-called "dark energy". This supposedly happened several billion years after the initial Big Bang.

It is interesting stuff, all right, but I’m still going to wait to hear what actually happened, from God. I won’t be able to transmit my findings to you, of course; you’ll have to get them on the other side, just like I will. Won’t it be marvelous?

“how can life come from non-life.”

Considering the numbers involved, sheer ‘happenstance, chaos, accidental collisions and how long everything has had to ‘come about’ be created, mix with whatever was “born”—elements that is,and no apparent time limit to ‘come about’
I suspect all will all be here until God wakes up from this / his, dream ???

Re: since matter cannot be created nor destroyed where did that thing that went all >blooie< come from in the first place

Tell every nuke bomb and plant that matter can not be created nor destroyed.

Matter cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be converted to energy, and vise-versa.

No, there is an apparent issue. If matter flew at the speed of light away form the center of the universe for 14 billion years, then that would seem to mean that the universe could only be 28 billion light-years wide, The fact that it is wider seems to suggest that matter flew faster than the current speed of light.

When I say no speed limit, I only mean that we don't know of any restriction (such as speed of light) on the rate of inflation. It didn't move with infinite speed.

And yes, the still accelerating expansion of spacetime complicates the equations further.

Right. Space itself was stretching. It may be that we can only ever see a small part of the total universe, because past a point the rest of the universe is stretching away faster than light can traverse the distance.

One photon/wave form relative to another would have exceeded the speed of light from each observers perspective, yeah. Space time stretched faster than photons travel in a vacuum so the photons were frame dragged relative to each other ftl essentially moving them ftl as compare to each other from their perspectives or from a third perspective though never exceeding ftl from their own perspective.

Energy is not matter and matter is not energy but energy is matter and matter is energy. They are one and the same and totally different.
