Actor Billy Drago has died at the age of 73. Drago specialized in portraying villains and was best known for playing real-life gangster Frank Nitti in Brian De Palmas 1987 film The Untouchables and the demon Barbas on the WB show Charmed. Dragos many other acting credits include 1985s Clint Eastwood-starring Pale Rider, Hill Street Blues, The X-Files, Showtimes anthology show Masters of Horror, and Gregg Arakis 2005 movie, Mysterious Skin. According to Variety, Drago died Monday in Los Angeles of complications from a stroke. The actors passing was confirmed to EW by his representative.
Drago has been fondly remembered by actress Laura Ortiz (Holliston) who worked with the actor on the 2006 remake of horror movie The Hills Have Eyes.
Very saddened to hear the news of Billy Drago passing, Ortiz wrote on Instagram. He was such an amazing character both on and off the screen. When we were in Morocco filming hed go off on adventures and no one knew where he was or how to reach him but hed always show up on time for work with amazing stories of getting lost in the desert and the locals he met and stayed with. Lucky to have worked with you on my first job.
He had a certain creepy Robert Davi meets Jack Palance look about him. RIP.
Alyssa Milano and Friends killed him about 50 times on “Charmed”.

RIP
Saw that in the theater when I was 13. It was a shocking scene to say the least and a total fabrication. The real Frank Nitti (Nitto) committed suicide in 1943 at 57. I don’t know if they mentioned it in the film, the reason he was so trusted by Capone is that they were first cousins.
Yes, Billy.
Can I have my moment?
RE Untouchables:
I enjoyed that movie. Connery was great, as usual.
The Untouchables is actually on right now on AMC...
More and more...
As I watch classic movies, Im seeing more and more of the people in them are dead. :(
#timeneverstandsstill
They probably scheduled it due to his death.
