Saw that in the theater when I was 13. It was a shocking scene to say the least and a total fabrication. The real Frank Nitti (Nitto) committed suicide in 1943 at 57. I don’t know if they mentioned it in the film, the reason he was so trusted by Capone is that they were first cousins.
