Chapman was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2017 after having a nagging cough checked out, family spokeswoman Mona Wood-Sword said. Chapman was declared cancer-free after removing a tumor. But she was later diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.
Chapman was hospitalized in Honolulu Friday after having difficulty breathing and passing out momentarily. Doctors put her in a coma to spare her from pain during treatment, Wood-Sword said.
The A&E series Dog the Bounty Hunter was canceled in 2012. The Chapmans, who live in Honolulu, later starred in other similar reality shows, including Country Music Televisions Dog & Beth: On The Hunt.
In 2016, Beth Chapman ran for president of the Professional Bail Agents of the United States, and won. She has said she was the youngest ever to receive a bail license in Colorado, where shes originally from. That record was beat by her own daughter, she said.

Just the other day we read where she was in a medically induced coma.

She was too young to die.
Yeah, once I read that she was in a medically induced coma and had stage 4 lung cancer, I figured it was pretty much over.
Heartbroken. Anyone who watched that show could see the complete love they had for each other; I have been blessed with that kind of love between my wife and I... prayers for Duane and his family.
Sad. RIP.
Sorry to hear this. I went through a phase of watching DTBH, and it was always a joy to see her.
Yep. Stage 4 cancer is pretty much a short death sentence. There are exceptions but small percentage
I mean stage 4 lung cancer. Others kinds may not take you out as quickly.
May the angels carry her to heaven, and guard her family from all hurt, harm and danger.
Poor Dog....
She lived her life to the fullest. She accomplished everything a person is supposed to accomplish in her life, so there is nothing to be sad about this, imo.
Prayers done for Dog and the rest of the Family, Friends.
At least Beth is not in pain anymore and in a better place.
Hang in there Dog !!!
Prayers up for Dog. This is not going to be an easy time for him.
No; she did not live to be a grandmother to her younger children's children. She did not live to take care of Dog when he is old. She did not live to write her memoirs as an unique female bondswoman, or have another television spin off giving good advice to young wayward people. 51 is too young to die, especially for a beloved wife and mother.
Peace to you Brother Dog, Beth will be waiting for you in heaven.
God bless and rest her soul. My brother passed at 51. It’s way too young. May the Lord bless and comfort her husband, family, and friends.
Job 1:20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,
21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.
I get that, I do. In my mind, however, we are mortal creatures with only so much time on earth.
Her kids are all functional adults who are now raising their own children.
Dog has enough memories about her that he will never lack a moment when he can’t fill his memory with a moment with her in it.
I get that she could have had more of a complete life, in terms of time, but she didn’t waste the time God gave her. This is what I meant. God also didn’t take her when the kids were still needing a mom. That happens far too often in this life.
Sad. RIP Beth.
Condolences to the family.
