I have never had that problem. I bought a book just a couple of days ago.

I have that particular trouble before and spoke with Amazon customer service by online chat.

As I recall, they had me delete the book from my Kindle and then reload it again directly from my Amazon account.

Just took a few minutes.

There are so many different versions and devices that it’s almost impossible to answer your question.

A few (2-3) times books have been very slow to be delivered (1-3 Hours). Never had a book not been delivered at all. This is based on my orders of the last five years

When I buy on Amazon I have to be careful that it’s being delivered to the correct device (for some reason, default is my wife’s tablet) . Did you check that?

I hope they have some customer service email or phone number.

I think the best approach is to get in touch with them directly.

They should be able to help you, that’s why they are there.

Good luck.

How old is your Kindle? And is it up to date with the latest firmware?

My wife's is a first-generation, and they stopped supporting updates via wi-fi and whispernet for hers. We had to go to Amazon.com to get the update, hook the Kindle to computer, and load the update that way. Otherwise, without the update, the Kindle wouldn't be able to download new purchases.

Check out my novella Haunting Whispers on Kindle. I’m a rank amatuer so don’t expect too much.

Bought a book over the weekend. Showed up just fine on all our Kindles. My wife loves the Kindle. It seems like she buys one every time something new comes out. We must have eight or nine of them. My latest one is our seventh. When I buy something, I tell Amazon to send it to our 7th Kindle, if I remember it’s the 7th (usually I forget), and bing!, it shows up on all of them. Don’t know how she did that, but I never have trouble accessing the books I buy, no matter which Kindle I happen to pick up.

Emails report they have been delivered but they have not shown up.

Go you your Manage your Kindle section on the Amazon site and find the items you just purchased (likely right up at the top of the list of purchases). There will be a button to check to make sure each item was sent to the correct Kindle device. Sometime this setting gets reset to some other Kindle device Amazon thinks you have. Just reset this to the Kindle device you want them sent to and resend the items.

I have a yuge problem with kindle. I use the app on apple devices and it’s perfect. But my mom with Alzheimer’s is given her kindle at night so she can read whenever she wants if she wakes. She’s very happy with doing that. It’s right in her hospital bed with her. She knows how to turn the pages.

Problem is: she can’t learn, and touching the screen often makes the settings come up and her hand accidentally lowers or raises the font to ridiculous (small or large) sizes.

I asked kindle / amazon if there was a way to lock the settings so that you could freeze the font etc for people with special needs. lock it in to your desired size. THERE IS NO WAY TO FREEZE THE SETTINGS so my mom won’t mess them up.
