Tiffani O'Brien, of Ontario, Canada, said she fell asleep in an empty row of seats on her short flight home from Quebec City to Toronto. She awoke hours later around midnight still strapped to her seat and all alone on a cold, dark plane.
O'Brien said she texted her friend, Deanna Dale, who drove her to the airport in Quebec City earlier that day. Dale told CTV News she called customer service at Toronto Pearson International Airport to tell them her friend was trapped on the plane.
She found a flashlight and turned it on, directing the light out of the windows of the plane in hopes someone would see it.
She then used the flashlight to find the main door of the plane and managed to get it open, but the drop to the tarmac below was too steep.
So she sat in the opening with her legs dangling out and flashed the light on the side of the plane to create a reflection, hoping it would catch someone's attention in the distance.
Eventually, a grounds crewman driving a luggage cart spotted her and helped her down.

sleeping in the overhead ?
Air Canofdog exist only so that American Airlines, Delta Airlines and United Airlines have someone they can be better than.
It is absolutely the worst
The cleaning crew didn’t throw her out with the trash?
Shoddy workmanship...
Wearing a “Do Not Disturb” sign?
How could this happen?
Clearly forgot to ask for a wake up shrug from the flight attendant.
The cleaning crew didnt throw her out with the trash?
Because I always select the cheapest possible seats, I end up in the back by the dishes or the toilet.
Only the really old and slow exit after me.
I’m certain a few times the cleaning crew was getting on before I was off?
If the plane is not cleaned between trips it means the pillows are RECYCLED!!!
Willoughby, Ohio?
What’s to investigate ?
Duh.
I didn’t sleep that long. NO alcohol involved. The cleaning crew woke me. Jet lagged very badly.
Thank you.
First I was thinking about the Traveling Wilburys??
Close?
Then “Harvey” the movie???
He didn’t get your reference so send him to the cornfield!
Czc
If they’d have turned out the lights on me, I’d have found the booze cart and would have been so gassed by the time they discovered me, they’d have had to pour me down the emergency chute to get me outta there. And my pockets would have been full of purloined Jim Beam one-shots.
Whoa, sounds like a laaaaaaarge check is coming her way. Sadly I was awake when my flight home landed tonight.
(Always carry a major phone charger fully charged when you travel. Mine has at least 3 full recharges for my cell phone on it and its not that big, like about 2 decks of cards.)
I think I’d have made my way to the cockpit and tried to see if I could fire the sucker up. Bet I could find the radio master at least and boy would that have been fun:
“Ground, this is the Air Canada flight that came in a while ago, piloted by some incompetent fools who left the keys in the plane. My name is Mohammed and I’ll be taxiing for immediate departure” Then jump out and run like hell.
Non stop about 1 1/2 hours...
her friend dropped her off for a morning flight..theres one at 10.30am gets in at noon...
The plane probably goes back and forth a few times during the day and after that 10.30 flight...
How come nobody saw her all day ???
The BS meter is newly calibrated...

She drank Sleepytime Tea
