Todays CG is courtesy of the Arkansas Gazette.
You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.
The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for todays Cryptogram.
If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hals Helper below:
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.
Solution to our last puzzle:
IF EVOLUTION REALLY WORKS, HOW COME MOTHERS ONLY HAVE TWO HANDS? MILTON BERLE
Good morning, Fellow Cryptogrammers! If you have any good quotations that you'd like me to use for our daily CG, send them via my private mail. If picked I'll give you recognition AND send you a special CG to you personally that day.
Sorry, for the late post on Saturday. I had a cardiac cath the day before. Everything good, but the cardiologist, (friend of mind), wanted to get a "look see."
Lastly, I'd sure like to see our Daily Cryptogram in the "Dailies." Anyone have any "pull' with Free Republic Administration? We've been doing these as a group for months now.
thank you pointing me toward Gazetta.. now I can do NYTimes crosswords via online. ( I know thy are not current)
About 4 min.
2 minutes.
Second word clues fourteenth word and then it’s hopping through the CG. Fun. That big word was scary at first but I overcame it ha ha ha.
Nikos, very glad to hear you’re doing fine.
Considering it was Saturday, I thought you were busy cutting onions.
Ok, I guess....
When R & A hit, I became a steamroller on hard pavement.
Milton Berle copied me... I raised 3 kids and we see how busy our daughter is with 2 sweet little girls... I have often said, and I had not heard Berle’s quote, “If evolution were true, mothers would have 12 hands, and then the extra ones would fall off once the kids are grown up!” And my years as a stay at home mom, with 3 kids, were by far THE HAPPIEST YEARS OF MY LIFE!
They once asked an elderly couple who had been married 75 years, what were the happiest years of their marriage. Without hesitation they said when the kids were little. They said they put them in bed, and sat in their rocking chairs, and cracked open and ate roasted peanuts, and they KNEW THE KIDS WERE SAFE IN BED for the night.
I love that!
Took under a minute. But the author is a big time liberal. If you are not a liberal she will not want to do the things she said in the quote.
Yes

Pretty straightforward. My wife interrupted me to offer advice and encouragement unrelated to the puzzle. The two single letter words pretty much opened it up.
That ZBZ started me off on the wrong track for a bit.
The author is not an intellectually serious person. She speaks from impulse, not conviction.
Forgot to set a timer, maybe 3 minutes?
Perhaps some day St. Hillary! the Divine will speak from conviction?
At least until she’s hanged...
What a pleasant thought.
